The media could not be loaded. If you have a bigger basement, this unit is perfect. It does not make very much noise and doesn't take up too much space for a commercial unit. It works perfectly and reduces the humidity level pretty quickly. I also love the pump feature to get rid of the water.

This is a powerful and effective dehumidifier. After a prior unit from a different manufacturer began struggling to keep up managing moisture in a damp 1000sf basement, this Waykar dehumidifier has met the task. It isn't the quietest unit I've ever used, but is in the range of what would be expected for a unit of this capacity -- it's too bad the fan speed is not adjustable. Regardless, I'm happy with my purchase and expect this to be a workhorse for years to come. The unit that was initially delivered had been badly damaged (either in transit or at the warehouse). Waykar customer service was responsive and incredibly helpful throughout the process, offering to send replacement parts or even a replacement unit rather than coordinating with Amazon. The media could not be loaded. Received my Waykar dehumidifier! This thing is solid! Packaged very nicely and secure. it was very easy to install and so far working like a charm! This model has two drainage options, the regular continuous drainage (which is what I am using) and a pump method. The pump method would be great for areas where the water has to actually be pushed out. Love that I have that option. It looks great, and it’s not too noisy.     • Worked decently until suddenly it didn't
Style: 130 Pints None Pump
It started misbehaving after seven months - pushing its own buttons at random, changing its settings. It tended to disable itself by pushing the humidity setting up to its maximum. Customer support was… a bit sketchy. They nominally offered to repair it (as they should, under warranty) but tried to convince me to go with a variety of other arrangements that basically centred around me giving them a good review. I insisted on repair, and sent it back to them - which they made me pay for, at over $100 in shipping - and they seemed to forget about it. Weeks later I followed up, and they instead refunded my original purchase price. So ultimately I got seven months of use for about $100 and a bit of hassle. The price has since gone up substantially, so buying a replacement would put me out of pocket by several hundred more dollars. Until it failed, it worked pretty well. Details below, in case you're still interested. Though FWIW I replaced it with a Colzer PD582A, which thus far has been working better. Prior to purchasing this Waykar dehumidifer, I had been using the hOmeLabs 4,500 (70-pint) - but despite all the marketing claims in the product listing, that 70-pint model was not capable of keeping a 3000 sqft house ≤50% RH (in California - not even super humid). I still have it & use it, but as a single-room dehumidifier, which it's mostly able to handle. This Waykar 130-pint model, on the other hand, was able to dry my whole house. It didn’t even need to run 24/7 to keep my entire house at ≤45% RH at 18°C (65°F). It uses no more power than the aforementioned hOmeLabs unit, but is far more effective & efficient. It looks well made - it feels sturdy, and not cheap. But it has three downsides, two of which are frustrating, unforced design errors: 1. Its built-in reservoir is only 5L, and that fills up fast given how effective this thing is. It is, surprisingly, smaller than the 6L+ reservoirs even the 50- and 70-pint competitors offer. It’s also a bit tricky to remove (to empty) without spilling. A rubber matt (or similar) is definitely required if you're using this on a finished floor. 2. Its control panel is permanently lit up in a super-bright blue light, which illuminates my entire house at night and is disruptive to sleep. There is no way to turn the light off. 3. When it fills, it issues *fifteen* high-pitched, loud beeps. Even with walls & closed doors between me & it, it wakes me from sleep sometimes. There is no way to turn this noise off (or down). It is also fairly loud in general operation, with the fan on high (as I use it). It is a bit quieter on the slower fan speed, although it’s noticeably less efficient in that mode (though your mileage may vary depending on the airflow in your space). ... show more
