I purchased this unit to replace a smaller unit that wasn't working effectively and what a difference! I have this unit set up in my basement and within a few hours of use, had already filled the collection bucket. So, I switched over to the drain hose and it is continually pulling the moisture from the air. It's quiet... can't even be heard upstairs and runs efficiently. We purchased our Waykar dehumidifier on April 15,2023. We received it on April 18,2023. We let it set for 24 hours as recommended and then turned it on. It ran beautifully removing humidity from our basement as expected. When we plugged the dehumidifier in on March 20, 2024 and turned it on, it wouldn’t remove any humidity. We then contacted customer service and found them very helpful and easy to work with. We are writing to say that Customer Service was willing to work with us totally. The product will be replaced and we will have a brand new dehumidifier running in our basement soon. Waykar truly cares for satisfying their customers. I purchased this unit August 30th, 2023. It worked very well until yesterday. Now it is starting to ice up. I have owned 3 different dehumidifiers over the years. When they ice up, they are basically worn out, and not worth fixing. This is the first unit that failed in less than a year. I am in the process of trying to get a replacement from Waykar on the failed unit. If I get a new unit, free of charge, as I should under their warranty, I will update this review as 5 stars with total satisfaction with the product and service. Update 7-27-24: I was sent a replacement unit under warranty. Unfortunately, it did not work right out of the box. I contacted warranty support about this and within 3 days they sent me a different unit. I did return the failed unit. Customer support was responsive and resolved the problems that I had with their units. The latest unit is working as it should. How long it will last is an unknown. So, I am updating this review to 5 stars based on the Waykar warranty support. I will say this, I have purchased 2 different brands through Amazon, and both have failed after around a year of use. In the future I will buy dehumidifiers through local stores. I have talked to many people about this, and they report that their locally bought units last 3, 4, or more years. A 200 dollar plus dehumidifier should last much longer than 1 year in my opinion. ... show more

In July of 2023 we bought 2-Waykar JD025cE-120 pint dehumidifiers. In Aug of 2024 one quit working. We sent a message to Waykar Customer Service and they responded within a day. Worked great for 41 days. Now the compressor won't kick on. It tries, but it seems like it's frozen. I'll update this if the company makes this right. Otherwise, it looks like we'll be doing a whole house hvac dehumidifier at this point. Tired of cheap junk that lasts a year or less. 11/15/24 update: the company reached out this morning and offered us some options, so we'll update again when they follow through. ... show more

It's a smaller unit, so it fits on the basement kitchen counter and drains into the sink. It runs quite. So far so good. This was a warranty replacement for a model I bought back in March then began to freeze up. Customer service was very helpful and helped me to warranty out the last, failed unit.
