  • Works well, but makes a bit of buzz noise after a week
Style: 2x92mm
3060 Ti was idle at 59C. Installed this card and it dropped the idle temp to 37C, that's very good. I was totally pleased, but I will note that while it was originally silent, after about a week it started to make a light buzzing noise. Not a big deal for me, I'll take the noise for the 22C temp drop anyday. ... show more

  • Surprisingly effective at preventing boost clock thermal throttling on a new RTX 3080
Style: 3x92mm
This is a preliminary/early review for the 3 fan model, after using this unit for just one day. I shall try to report back on it in the future if warranted. Background: After months of searching, I managed to snag an eVGA RTX 3080 CX3 Ultra as a Christmas gift to myself. The card is amazing as far as its performance and graphics quality, but ended up running rather hot me. It was commonly hitting 80 C and as far as I can tell, that’s its thermal throttling temp, at least when it comes to boost clock. Because of this, the card never reached its advertised 1755 MHz boost speed. Adding a third 120 mm exhaust fan to my decent full-size gaming chassis didn’t make any difference. I then searched for “GPU cooler” here on Amazon and found this thing. I was pretty skeptical, considering that it’s a low-cost solution to a high-cost problem, but for the price, decided to give it a shot. The installation was easy and trouble-free, with one caveat being the shortness of the power cable. I was lucky to have an unused sysfan plug just in the right spot, but others might have to get a 3-pin extender cable or use the provided power adaptors to hook it up to a standard ATX 12V plug out of their PSU. Anyway, this thing did not add as much noise as I was expecting and the cooling results speaks for itself. My video card now never gets above 74 C (used to be 80 C), its own three fans don’t have to spin up as fast and the card actually reaches its advertised boost clock. In theory, this should all give me a slight performance boost and add longevity to the expensive video card. So, at this point, it would be really hard for me not to recommend this cooler. Hope that the fans will actually last a decent amount of time, but if not, it’s cheap and fast to just get a new unit! The long-promised update (09/2023): The darn thing is still working and effectively cooling my card, after almost 3 years! One of the fans is making bad noises when you first power up but it goes away after spinning up (no more than a minute of whine to deal with). I ordered another one of these coolers soon after my original order, expecting this thing to fail on me fairly quickly but that new unit is still sitting in a drawer and waiting its turn. :) ... show more

  • Cool product. Basic but effective.
Style: 3x92mm
Cool little product. Really easy to install. I wish it had a pci interface. It’s simply 3 120 fans bracketed together. So it sags pretty easily. I run my power for my gpu under it and up to the right corner of my card and the cords help hold the back of the cars up. Easy solution. Another thing to note is while it comes with the fans exhausting upward , ideally to be installed bellow your gpu. You could also take the mounting bracket off and flip it over to make the fans exhaust down onto your card. I did this when I had my gpu vertically mounted so it would draft air down behind the card and help provide more air flow for the cards onboard fans as it was pretty close to the glass. ... show more

  • Perfect! Reduced GPU temp
Style: 3x92mm
I bought this to reduce the temperature of my aging 980 ti and it has done the trick. I don't normally write reviews, and never on the same day I received the item but this product has done exactly what I needed and maybe it can help someone else too. My reason for buying was that my EVGA GTX 980 ti was getting a little too hot and noisy on the latest games. The card still runs like a beast so I didn't want to replace it but I did want to manage the heat. For a solution under $25 this has performed admirably. Under heavy load my temps are in the high 70s with a max of 80. My GPU fan speed stays below 50% at these temps and I can't hear them. Previously under heavy load I was maxing out at 83 degrees (my card's limit) with GPU fan speed over 75% and being the noisiest thing in my case. That is a huge difference. At idle my temp hovers between 36-37 degrees. Previously I would idle in the low 50s, which seems high but was normal for this card. Under heavy load and at idle this is a big improvement. I can no longer hear my GPU fans and they don't go above 50% fan speed. These fans I have set at 12 volts max speed and I can't hear them (maybe I got lucky). I haven't tried lower speeds. If you are on the fence, it is not a huge investment but it does the job. Like me I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. ... show more
