I really was not expecting this mattress pad to protect my mattress from my pup's occasional leaks. In fact, I was really was just looking for a moderately priced pad for general protection and bought this one thinking it was not one of the "waterproof" ones since few of them actually work but this one did. I don't like the crinkly noise associated with waterproof pads and if they don't stop moisture from penetrating what's the point of putting up with the noise? But my Aussie girl occasionally leaks, has done so 3 or 4 times since I got this pad, and not even once has her pee even dampened the mattress cover let alone penetrated into the foam. I just ordered another so if my girl has a spill I can swap out a dry one to immediately put on the bed instead of having to wait for the wet one to be washed and dried. ... show more
