    • DOES NOT WORK WITH GOOGLE HOME NEST WIRED DOORBELL
A licensed electrician spent three hours trying to set it up. It will not pair with the Google Home Nest doorbell. Wasserstein sent, after 2 weeks of emails, a replacement chime. It doesn't work either.

    • Works well but cheap components used
Dislike - The transmitter wire connectors (on the Google doorbell side) broke! Both of them just fell apart. Also the wire connectors were very difficult and made connecting the wires to the transmitter a real chore. Just a bad design using really cheap components. Like - Worked as advertised and was easy to setup. My Google nest doorbell would not work with the quite old interior ringer system so this device saved me from having to replace the nest or the bell system or both. ... show more

Operates through Google Home App which is known for its user-friendly interface and easy set up process. It has the light up feature on the transmitter when the bell is rung. This is an excellent feature for anyone who is hard of hearing or unable to hear. There are several rings to choose from and it can be integrated with google assistant for voice commands. This is something I have not tried, but nice to know it's available. I think the installation is complex. Although it offers battery backup, the primary installation requires wiring, which is out of my comfort zone. Thank God for Handy Man husbands. I did my best and got as far as I could before he had to take over. Also, this doorbell chime requires a stable Wi-Fi connection for optimal performance and unfortunately, our Wi-Fi is unpredictable, so we have encountered disruptions that affect the notifications coming through. Although this was not the best fit for me, it may be perfect for those invested in the Google Nest Ecosystem. ... show more

I loved that this chime works flawlessly with the Nest doorbell, and it is very reasonable priced as well. Dislikes. If you do not have clear access to run wire to the doorbell outside this can be a challenging install. My transformer is in the garage and the doorbell is hardwired. I had to run new wire thru the wall to the transmitter; approximately 15’ away in order to make the connection from the button. For any average DIY person, this is an easy - albeit time consuming task. ... show more

I have two chimes located in different areas of house tied to one transmitter. The chime can be set with a range of loudness based on the settings. And the night light is a nice bonus that also has setting for how bright. The chimes are connected to a nest 2nd generation wired doorbell. If you are connecting to a transformer in a wired vs a battery setup do not put batteries in transmitter as it will burn it up. Learned the hard way. But once I got past that. It works great and we know when door bell is pushed anywhere else in house and it is used in conjunction with several Sonos speakers as well. Part II- worked great for two months then just stopped. In dissembling it I found a burn mark in rectangle part housing connections. Probably safe but certainly not long lasting. ... show more
