This is a must have for my Havanese and Lhasa Apso. My Havanese has very fine hair that flies away and this lotion keeps her hair and skin hydrated and less prone to static and snags. It’s also gentle and not harsh like some detangle products. I use it on the fur by her nose to keep it laying down and it’s non-sticky. My Lhasa has dry skin and this has helped her so much on her back and in between toes. The pomegranate is a stronger smell, the guava a lighter smell, and the unscented is perfect for face and privates. I use the scented on their back and top of head for a fresh smell all day. My Havanese likes the guava, but not the pomm. My Lhasa does the pomegranate and doesn’t mind the stronger scent. Their coats are shiny, easy to comb, and softer more hydrated skin. I am totally sold on these for life. I recommend daily use. Also great on the back of hands if you wash your hands a lot from daily grooming. We have been using this conditioner for 6 months now and wow!! I have a sproodle (English Springer Spaniel/poodle) and he has a lot of hair , which is prone to get matted. This is the final step in our bath routine as a leave in conditioner and the secret weapon to keep soft curls in his coat. The key to curls is to keep them hydrated and this locks in his natural oils to do just that. The scent is wonderful...not overpowering. It is easy to tell how much you need with no risk of using too much. You can easily tell where you missed a spot. ***update after a couple of months*** I use this after bathing. It doesn’t cause any itching/irritation. One time I put it inside the thigh area, and on the skin it caused a dry area. It could have been a one off type of thing… so I only kept applying just to the back and neck area. I think it makes the coat shiny, but beyond that, I’m not sure if it really does much for problem itchy areas. Most of the skin health is due to food and proper grooming. I don’t use if not bathed because I don’t want to cause product build up. Finally. A product that does not irritate my Dobermans skin. I’m pretty happy with this product. My big baby has skin sensitivities and dander. Despite proper grooming, a special diet, and not over washing- this has reduced the dander immediately. Now, I’ve only used this a couple times. So, if anything comes up, I’ll update this. It doesn’t have any fragrance- there still is some scent from what it is composed of. It actually takes away any smell that was on her coat prior. It doesn’t cause any hive like bumps or redness and she doesn’t itch or bite anywhere it’s applied. I’m curious to see if regular use (meaning every couple of days) would cause buildup and have a negative impact.
