I tried plastic cases. They are good as protectors of the kindle, but I make the tablet so think that I don't want to hold it. But this sleeve case is elegant and beautiful. It still gives the protection needed (not as strong but enough for me). But it doesn't attach to the kindle, so I can hold my thin and beautiful kindle scribe while reading. I just received this sleeve. It looks good & does exactly as advertised. I would purchase again. My one concern is some user has reported that the magnets interfere with the writing function. Works well and my plastic case I got to protect and hold it from Amazon fits in the sleeve too. I worried I’d have to take it off and did not. Very nice product.

This is not a "case". This is a thin suede-like sleeve. There is no firmness to it. It can fold in half. So while this does fit my kindle scribe like a glove, it won't prevent anything from pressing on the screen. It'll just prevent it from getting dirty or having things scratch over the screen. Not enough protection for travel. Might work if you have it inside of an additional protective layer like a padded pocket inside of a laptop bag. I missed the return date otherwise I would have returned in. It's basically not serving a purpose for me since I still need additional protection. It is perfectly made and pretty though. I would have forced myself to give it five stars if it hadn't been described as a "case". Sleeve - yes. Case - not at all. If a sock is a case for your foot, then this is a case. ... show more
