    • Good for how I use it.
This works great for running off hotspot on your phone. Finding a SIM card or a data plan or a radio tower in New York to play nice with this radio is a waste of time. I knew this going into buying it, seems how I have a lot of this brand walkie version the menu wasn’t difficult for me to understand. Going into this blind just know the interface menu and buttons will be frustrating. I know this brand and how the menu works and I knew I wouldn’t be able to find a SIM card for this area that would support this. The way I use it is I get in my car and it connects to my phones hotspot automatically and it works without an issue. If you can’t find videos on how the menu options work I would suggest looking up ksun zl10 review videos on YouTube because the exact buttons used on that radio are the same for this radio. Just know that running it on hotspot or WiFi it’s fantastic and trying to go sim route will be frustrating. ... show more

    • Decent unit if you like doing things the hard way
This is a product that you get what you pay for. Very hard user interface to navigate to start with. Cheap plastic suction cup mount broke when trying to mount it. Automatically shuts off after 30 seconds of inactivity and has to be rebooted every time with no way to change power settings. PTT seems to be the only one that works on the mic, the rest have no function or a way to assign. Only good thing about it is sound quality.     • Once you get it setup correctly, it works.
Once you get it setup correctly, it works. Difficult to setup and understand the buttons. Not all of the buttons on the mic work. Only the main PTT button. Have tried to set them up, but the radio doesn't read the button being pushed.

After reading the negative reviews, I thought I'd take a chance on this unit. Bad idea! I'm usually pretty tolerant of pita electronics. but this was too big of a pita. the entire layout is beyond user friendly.

I require an external speaker jack. Despite one of the responders to my question saying that it does and despite the description showing an image that says that it does, it does not, in fact, have an external speaker jack. There is no mini stereo, 1/8", 3.5mm or what most people know as the headphone jack. This it was returned as I require one. ... show more

US based review. Crystal clear comms! I use a Tello data only sim successfully. Be patient when setting up! I recommend setting up your account and channel on your phone first, then login with unit. Tip: keep login info short as you have to scroll through keypad to type.
