The media could not be loaded. The package is HEAVY like really heavy, it took me about two hours to build by myself, everything was fine until I got to the side doors, the hinges are not lined up so the doors don’t open and close smoothly. I had to make holes in order to work. That being said, they don’t seem very sturdy. They slam every time you close them, I thought they would be drawers but only the middle compartment is a drawer. I did had a minor inconvenience since one of the back panels arrived broken but since it’s the back it’s not noticeable I was able to fix it. Okay…let’s get real. This sucker is heavy when you’ve got to get the box into your house. On the plus side the manufacturer has all the pieces protected so every piece is scratch and damage free. One person can assemble this by themselves (I did) BUT if you have a second pair of hands around when you are putting the top piece on and lining up all of the pegs into the holes it would be worth it. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only frustrating part (as with any cabinet) was putting the doors on it. I got them on but did a lot of cussing in the process. The piece feels very sturdy. Although it is not real wood, it has a very stylish look to it with a natural looking variation in the color and grain of the “wood.”. It is supported underneath by 6 legs. I especially like that there are 2 legs evenly spaced in the center. This will keep the piece from sagging over time. Item was very well packaged for shipping and all the parts were easy to identify when opened and compared to the parts list. Two issues that knock this to a 4-star; a couple of the instructions were ambiguous and hard to follow, and secondly, the door hinges did not fit. Apparently the hinges supplied were not the same ones when the product was designed, so mounting holes had to be re-drilled. They were off by 1/4". But once re-drilled the doors fit okay. There's also adequate room to wire electronics (amplifier, cable box, DVD, etc.,) without having to crane your head around to see the plugs and connectors. Although the instructions advise against it, I would recommend using a power drill/screwdriver to make it easier on your wrists. Just be careful. A racheting screwdriver is also very helpful. There are a lot of screws to install to get this together. ... show more

Ikea is not the only place with build it yourself furniture. I was surprised when this puppy came well package, and NOT damaged even with the box a little ripped up on the outside. It went together fairly well in about 2 hours. I accidentally put the bottom on upside down though which was kinda annoying. Those bolts were tough to take out and put back in :P. Luckily they still went together perfect even after that! Not the best instructions ever, but pretty good overall if you can imagine it a bit. Wood looks really awesome! Came with nice stickers and extra stickers to hide all the screw holes and such. Really blends in well. I put a 77" TV on it, and I would not go any bigger than that. 77 was already pretty big..... I was able to fit my PS5, center speaker and my AV receiver on this and they fit good. My only issue that took a while to figure out are the door hinges. They ended up going together, but they are kind a pain to get to be flush and not crooked. That took like 20 minutes in itself and was pretty annoying! ... show more

This is an exceptionally strong and sturdy piece of furniture—well worth the money, in my opinion. It’s beautiful, and goes perfectly with my decor. My only complaint is the instructions. It’s not terribly difficult to put together. I did it by myself without much trouble. However, in some instances the images don’t properly demonstrate how things go together. (Specifically, Step 1). It takes a little bit of independent thinking and common sense to make sense of the directions, particularly at the beginning. Also, pay attention to the instructions at the beginning regarding the door brackets — my holes didn’t line up initially, but it was an easy fix by extending the bracket a bit. And, pro tip — I found it easiest to lay the unit on either end when installing the doors. Overall, it was relatively simple (albeit time-consuming) to put together alone. With 2 people, it should go quickly. I think this piece is well worth the time and money. The end result is beautiful. ... show more

I rarely write reviews, but this warranted one. I took a chance despite mixed reviews, and I find myself wishing I had listened to the negative ones. Firstly, assembly was a nightmare. It took me about half a day and the doors are so misaligned because of the placement of the pre-bored holes for the hinges that if I open the middle drawer, they will tilt off level. The following day, I dedicated another couple hours tinkering with those doors to try to get them level and functioning. No dice. This leaves me with a drawer and two doors that I can’t even use in a functional way unless I want to have to coordinate the drawer close just so that it can continue to support the doors from falling at an angle. Stupid. Also worth noting the slats show the interior contents. I thought I wouldn’t bother me. It does, but that’s just my opinion. Secondly, I have a 55” tv that I would by no means consider heavy, but the top of the tv stand STILL bowed, as mentioned by a couple other reviewers. The laminate is poorly applied. I’m shocked to hear people mention that this is a solid piece of furniture. I can see bubbling under the laminate that was applied to the length of the top board facing me when I watch tv. Between that and the bow and knowing that the drawers function pretty much as decorative and not practically functional leaves me with buyer’s remorse. I'm already shopping for a replacement and wish I had used this money I wasted towards something better. ... show more
