Though this TV stand is made from cheaper quality solid wood, it still looks excellent and has reliably held my TV, which is on the heavier side (55lbs). The instructions are decently detailed, but assembly is still a chore due to QC issues. Most notably the feet did not fit well and had to be forced. and I had to play mix-and-match with the wood dowels to find dowels that would fit snugly in each hole (thankfully they provide excess dowels). Besides the downside of fit-and-finish for assembly, I would say this is a solid piece of furniture and could handle a few moves if built with care. Overall, the value proposition is definitely there. If you take care during assembly, this is a sturdy and good-looking piece. ... show more

Delivery was quick! I do like the overall look and style of it. Everything looked good when arrived and opened. The only issue that I had when assembling it, was it seemed a bit gapped in certain areas. I had to unscrew those areas and re-screw to make sure the gaps were closed as much as I could get them. Some didn’t budge, but it isn’t noticeable. The hardest part for me was the cabinet doors. A little tricky to put together. And also noticed the material easily scratches, so have to be careful of that. Still love it! ... show more

Purchased because I liked the style but within a day of using the doors, the flimsy wood “handle” snapped after hitting the bumper. Building this, you will realize that the wood quality is lacking and wouldn’t withstand a move. Looks decent once built but don’t expect to be able to use the doors without worrying about breaking them. Find another tv stand. ... show more

It's always a gamble when buying cheap 'assembly needed' furniture online, you never know if something will be "off" or a part will be missing...this one worked out though. This took about 4 hours to assemble, with mostly 1 person. it will go much quicker with 2 people. definitely have a 2nd person to help with installing the doors - otherwise they could turn out crooked. One thing that was helpful , since I bought the dark walnut color and it wasn't easy to see, was leaving a flashlight on inside of the compartment while you're installing the doors. This illuminates the gaps around the door from the inside, from there it's easier to see how much needs to be re-aligned in order to make it perfectly straiaght. As other reviewers said, it is easily chipped but if you know that, you will just need to be careful around it. The dark walnut color is nice, makes it look more expensive than it is. This item is the cats meow, beautiful piece of furniture. Style is perfect (mid-century modern). Went together easy, took my time and went slow. The soft close doors were easy to put on but I could have used an extra pair of hands to hold in place to start the screws. I love med-century modern furniture. However, I’m to heavy for most of the furniture pieces (notice the legs) so I’m glad to have this. I’m doing a remodel but this is how the unit looks so far. It looks as advertised, shape and size wise. Color is a bit lighter in person. Closer to a blondish color. Very dull matte finish. I believe there was a hole missing to hang one of the shelves. Just left one shelf out. It took a long time to put together. Set aside at least 2 hours or more for assembly. Door hinges are the slow close type so they are pretty nice. The wood is incredibly fragile. If you happen to drop your screwdriver while putting this together, you will dent the wood. Overall, as a piece of furniture it seems pretty sturdy.
