The product comes as advertised. I was especially pleased with the deep wood tones that some of these build kits lack. It is a sturdy build that is mostly easy to assemble (with the exception of a couple of poorly piloted holes around the door hinge which require a bit more force than expected). Like many similar products, this comes with wood textured stickers to hide screw holes after assembly. While these do a solid job from a distance, it feels obvious and tacky when viewed up close. Luckily (or maybe not) my decision on whether or not to use these stickers was made for me: the adhesive is NOT sufficient and the stickers all came off independently after just a few days. I don't mind the look of this TV stand with visible screw holes, though, so this didn't impact my own enjoyment of the product but it's something buyers should be wary of. The 44" brushed white TV stand fits my small space perfectly. It took me about 2.5 hours to assemble it, but I was moving slowly as I wanted to ensure I followed the directions accurately. The instructions were pretty clear (minor grammatical errors- they didn't pluralize some words, so I was initially confused), and I only made one mistake by not looking at one of the visuals carefully enough (I had a piece turned the wrong way). Luckily, I caught my error pretty quickly, and the end result was a lovely, sturdy TV stand. The product overall is great. It is very sturdy while I was building it my toddler was jumping on it and it held up fine. Color is very pretty had 2 small scratches but hardly noticeable. My only complain would be that it is way too small for $120. The size of this should be more around $70. In the pictures you can see the comparison between the one I currently have (which was $300 and came already built) and the actual product. It took me about 1 hour to build instructions are very clear and easy to follow just make sure the pieces are facing the correct way. We bought the light one (it appears to be a “white stained light wood” print on thick board. That makes it sound awful but it’s actually AMAZING as you see in the photos. Very sturdy, large TV stand WITH a really beautiful fireplace that emits heat and makes the room look so cozy. I totally love it. It was pretty hard to put together. Took my husband a few hours and he’s usually very quick with stuff like this. He said it was very tedious. Maybe worth the money to have someone put it together if you’re not great at stuff like that! ... show more

Just finished putting this thing together. Took about 1.5 hours total including unboxing. I did it by myself with no help. A few thoughts: - Really well packaged - Great, simple instructions - You can use a power drill if you have one with power settings (I lowered mine to the min (2 out of 20) and it did speed things up. - Great finish on the white oak model. Nice distress look will hide scratches. - Plenty of extra parts to spare. - Fire place looks really nice. - Super strong and well designed so no issues with weight * My only ding would be the hinges for the two front doors. They have some play and as a result the doors to catch a bit when opening and closing. I tried my best to get them centered before tightening down the screws. One door ok, the other catches a bit. Not enough for me to lower by a star. This thing looks great for the price. ... show more

This is a beautiful piece and it's very sturdy. The heat is also really strong and heats up my living room very nicely. I built it myself and I am usually not the type to build anything, so I would say it was very easy to follow the directions. The only thing that frustrated me was that the nails for the door hinges broke as I was screwing them in. The top of it just broke off so easily and the rest of the nail remained inside so I couldn't get it back out. I didn't want to ask for a replacement and have to rebuild the whole thing again so I decided to crazy glue it so it wouldn't look weird, but I do know that the hinges of one of the doors aren't fully secure with the 6 nails total they're each supposed to have. ... show more
