  • GROW BETTER, HEALTHIER PLANTS Wakefield Biochar helps soil get the right balance of water and nutrients, so potting soil, compost, fertilizers, soil amendments and soil conditioners work better with less
  • 100% ORGANIC MATERIALS Our premixed blend is made in the USA with OMRI-Listed and FSC-Certified biochar combined with OMRI-Listed compost to create an organic, carbon-based soil amendment made from untreated, all-natural feedstock, with naturally occurring mycorrhizal fungi and bacteria. Perfect for organic gardening
  • USE LESS WATER Biochar increases plant growth and leads to lush, nutrient-rich plants that need less water and fertilizer. Sustainable biochar (activated charcoal for plants) provides healthier soil and plants for generations

  • GOOD FOR PLANTS
I LKE THE DEPTH OF COLOR AND I USE IT TO PLANT MY SEEDS AND COVER MY PLANT STEMS

  • It's compost.
Apparently my replants like it, so I have too.

  • Works well
Didn't have time to make biochar myself (see Garden Like a Viking yt video on the matter) so I bought a few bags of this. Seems to be working well, so far, just built my beds this year. First crop of lettuce and radishes harvested, nearly as large as store bought, but much better flavor!

  • Quality
This is a very great fertilizer. The bags are on the smaller side. But it works great I used it last year on my lawn before winter season and this spring my grass came back trounced than ever. Highly recommend it

  • Seems good
Looks good not much of a smell. Finally mulched id say. I put a four star for value for money because ive never bought bio char before so i dont have a good reference for price. I assume you can get more for cheaper at a local shop near you or make your own.

  • Excellent product!
I wish I could find this stuff in 50lb bags near where I live..it stimulates and feeds your soil microbes in the best possible way. Overnight results in most cases. When planting new seedlings into their final pots, I sprinkle a handful in the hole and dust it with a little extra endo and ecto mycos and trichoderma fungi, and see overnight doubling in size..day after day..never seen any signs of transplant shock. I also use it when brewing up a weekly compost tea for my girls. I like to make sure the plant soil has completely dried out before feeding them tea so that when they do finally have access to water, they gulp it in along with all the super-charged microbes from the compost and other readily available nutrients. I use two cups full in a 5 gallon bucketful of de-chlorinated water at 75f-80f, along with some liquid earthworm castings, un-sulfered molasses, kelp extract, powdered bat and seabird guano...two days of vigorous aeration and the head on it gets frothy and thick...the microbes are fully in overdrive. About an hour before I feed it to them, I sprinkle another teaspoon of mycorrhizae, some beneficial bacteria, and a terpene enhancer into the bucket and stir it..let it aerate for another hour, then feed them a few ounces of the brewed tea at a time, letting it soak in really well...you want no runoff if you can manage it, yet well saturated. Let them dry all the way back out for as long as that takes. Then continue normal feeding when they are thirsty again. ... show more

  • Charged Planting Medium
This is for starting seedlings but I tried it with perennial bedding plants that went into the ground late and I mixed it in with the roots of existing plants. None showed any sign of transplant shock and even the established plants perked up and have done well during the summer heat.
