  • Good read!
Interesting book with some twists and turns - and the "why" that comes out near the end is surprising! It's not as simple as there is an orphaned child. Where the child came from and why makes the sorty even more! Get the book!

  • Loved it!
I loved this book! This story pulled me in right from the beginning to the end. If you like reading historical books, this is a must read for you. Can't wait to read another book by Rhonda Gibson.

  • Wagon Train Baby (Wagon Train Book 2)
Wagon train scout Adam Walker has vowed never to marry after finding his fiancée in his brother's arms. Learning that her late husband only married her for money, Maggie Porter plans to remain a widow. When Maggie disappears, Adam sets out to search for her. Not only does he locate Maggie, but she has a baby and a large dog with her. Darkness keeps them from returning to camp before nightfall. The following morning, Maggie's father demands Adam marry her. Rhonda Gibson's Wagon Train Baby is a Love Inspired Historical Romance. It is my second book by the author and my second wagon train story by her. I enjoyed it, and the epilogue was great. I purchased a paperback copy of this book. ... show more

  • Heartwarming Story
I really enjoyed reading this book. Adam and Maggie try to make the best of a tragic situation in the interest of an orphan baby they find on the Oregon Trail. There are no lulls in the story. There are twists and turns I did not expect. If you have a pet dog, you will love this story. The baby’s pet dog, Brutus, is so loyal. I don’t own a pet, and even I was moved by his faithfulness. Wonderful story with a positive message of forgiveness! ... show more

  • Felt secular
I loved Rhonda’s first books but these feel like secular creepy murder mysteries. I tried this second one in the new series bc the back sounded really good-like her original books. But it was dark and creepy too with too little Jesus and too much darkness. I’m praying she returns to writing more pure wholesome books that turn the readers eyes to Jesus and encourage and uplift-why I think Christians enjoy reading historical Christian fiction. She is a talented author and I do enjoy her first books-just won’t be buying anymore with these darker depressing themes. ... show more
