Most moms I know, including myself, are experiencing burnout. So often when we have babies we put ourselves on the back burner because it’s needed at first, but many of us never make it off that back burner. The book starts with some incredibly validating truths and a whole section making the case for why you should “mother yourself like you mother your kids.” This book isn’t just a list of self-care, it offers ways to make mental shifts that make a huge difference in how we view ourselves and treat ourselves.   • What I needed!!!
This is a book I will keep forever. I read it twice. Once quickly, and then again -- with a journal and pen to really dive deep through the prompts. It helped me understand where my feelings in motherhood were coming from and gave me knowledge to reframe those feelings to a positive light.
