  • Full Red Satin/Matte Review + Comparison
Size: 1ft x 5ft
In my specific situation, this worked great. The satin/matte finish laid down with very little trouble on my roof rack bars. I am somewhat familiar with vinyl wrapping: scale of 1–10 with 1 being “what is wrap?” and 10 being “I’m a pro like CKWraps on YouTube” I’d say I’m a 6 in knowledge about the product, but a 4.5 when it comes to installation. I did another Jetta roof rack for a friend in Vvivid Gloss Black (using this as an example for a standard baseline comparison) and that material gave me a little more trouble than the Satin/Matte Red (maybe something about that glossy top coat when not using heat). Another plus to the satin/matte finish, you won’t get any micro-scratches when applying with a squeegee or wrap glove, like you mostly likely would with a gloss wrap when not using a specific wrap application lubricant (makes the job pretty messy). A potential downside to the red satin wrap is that it is slightly transparent - which actually worked out in my specific situation because the roof rack bars had labels to let you know which end of which bar goes where, and you could still read the labels through the wrap - this helped a ton in installation on the car (they aren’t noticeable from 2-3 away. But I bring this up because if you are planning on a doing a color change from blue for example, you would definitely have have some color bleeding through the wrap - the Vvivid gloss black did not share this characteristic, it offered complete coverage. Onto durability, it is solid. These roof racks get smacked with so many bug guts it unreal..and even after not washing for nearly a month, I finally whipped out the pressure washer and gave it a little elbow grease, it always came right off with no signs of residue or discoloration or tearing. It has been 2 months of application (mid March to mid May) and it has been on the car every day and never garaged and has been through several washes. I am beginning to notice a slight fade on the color( not sure if it’s just my eyes or not, I will update this review with a side by side as soon as I can to either way!. I hope this helped and happy wrapping! ... show more

  • Another great quality vinyl
Size: 1ft x 5ft
The quality of this vinyl has yet to let me down. I've ordered different colors, sizes, and materials ( gloss, matte, reflective) and all have been of good quality and easy to apply. No issues removing it either, even on spots I've applied it with primer....

  • NICE ...
Size: 1ft x 5ft
This is a good vinyl. It was easy to manipulate. I just wish it was more sticky. Did majority of my truck for little price. I just ordered more to have just incase because a piece did scratch off a little.

  • Not suitable for wraps
Size: 6ft x 5ft (Hood, Roof or Trunk Wrap Kit)
This vinyl is less conformable than 651. It has a water-based clear adhesive and acts more like transit vinyl than anything. If you try to reposition it, it loses its adhesive and it's too thick or stiff to work with. I work for Fellers, so I know a bit about media. Buy a name brand.

  • Not as high quality as I was hoping for
Size: 1ft x 5ft
VViViD kind of disappointed me with this one. I bought the carbon fiber roll awhile back and it was great, easy to stretch, easy to work into tight spaces, and seemed more durable. This red vinyl feels a bit cheap and was much harder to work with and does not feel very durable, almost like paper. I used a heat gun on low for both types and still the red was much more difficult to work with. ... show more

  • Nearly impossible to use for a rookie
Size: 6ft x 5ft (Hood, Roof or Trunk Wrap Kit)
I bought a small sample of this (5ft by 6ft) to put on my 1997 Toyota Tacoma that has rough paint. I wanted a small amount to test and see if I could work with it. I'm glad I only bought that much, as this stuff was nearly impossible to work with and actually overly sticky. It also seemed more rigid than I expected for the application. I've watched videos and seen people gently lay down wrap and be able to peel it up with ease to adjust, but this stuff sticks too aggressively without applying pressure and it was real hard to get it flat. Also, it sucks for getting air bubbles out, as they just don't want to budge at all. I couldn't work many of them out with a squigee. I failed at getting this on my hood, and when removing a bit that I couldn't get flat, it actually pulled up some paint in the process. Mind you, the whole reason I was attempting the wrap is my clear coat is mostly gone and the paint isn't in great shape, but that gives an indication that the adhesive is a bit too strong. I was disappointed as the entire roll I bought ended up getting scrapped, but at least it wasn't too expensive. I'm sure a trained professional can probably work with this stuff, but from my experience I guess I'll just be driving around in a faded Tacoma......... ... show more
