For reference, I'm 5'5", 170 lbs, and wear a 36C bra. The dress fit okay overall, but there were a few things that didn’t quite work for me. The length hits right at the knee, and I would have preferred it to be an inch or two shorter. The built-in cups are Very small and circular, which gave my chest an unusual look, almost like I was wearing pasties, even though I tried it on without a bra. The sleeves also tended to slip off, possibly due to them being placed very wide apart on the dress.. maybe a size 12 might have fit better.. the lace to tie wasnt long enough but..I think the sleeve issue would still be present. I recommend trying it for yourself—it may work better for those with not heavy chested but I'll be returning this :( ... show more

I love love love this dress for the style and fabric. However, the top portion is not like the image shown and the sleeves just fall right off :( I had to use safety pins to make it stay up but it’s not the fit i expected, sorta disappointing

I ordered this for my daughter bc she LOVES dresses & skirts fell in love w the design, specifically the corset detailing in back. I was surprised bc she wanted the red, which is never her go to color, but she has some of my older retro style cardigans w red cherries & 1 w red skulls that look super cute paired w this dress. I can also see this dress looking cute paired w a tightly fitted white or black turtleneck for an entirely different, but still cute look so she’ll be able to wear it year round (w a coat & tights obviously) I decided to size up 1 size & im glad I did bc the 4, which is her size based on the size chart, would’ve had a tighter fit than either of us would’ve been comfortable with & the 6 looks great. Plus the corset ties in the back allow her to tighten the dress in bust/waist area so she can get the best fit. The dress is absolutely adorable on, but there are a few areas that it has an odd fit. The straps are wider than expected so they have a tendency to want to slide down, but the bust fits fits well on her, although she has a smaller bust to begin with.But the bust pads look awkward so I may remove them & put something that works but is less noticeable in their place. I may also look into getting the straps taken in a bit so she’s not constantly fighting with them. We both like that the dress is only fitted on the top. It flares out at about the natural waist & my daughter tends to stick with clothing that’s looser from the waist down bc she isn’t super comfortable with her body, but unfortunately that’s the case w most teenagers. While in reality she’s actually quite thin. The length of the dress is longer on my daughter than any of the pictures, but that’s usually how it works bc she’s on the shorter side. As her mom, I like the longer length, but I know she wanted the shorter length that was shown on the models so I may compromise w her & get the length altered as well. Just not quite as short as shown in the model pics. I love the look of the material this is made from bc it’s satin like, but a little bit thicker & not quite as shiny as some satin so it’s not an overwhelming shine. This dress does seem to be well made & can be used for many different dressy functions or as a cute everyday dress when styled properly. It arrives wrinkled, but can easily be steamed. ... show more
