The media could not be loaded. We recently had a patio cover installed and we thought it would be cool to have some lights added to the perimeter of the patio cover. We searched Amazon and found that there were tons of choices when it came to light strips. Our new patio cover was about 30 feet long and 11 feet wide, so that helped to narrow down our options. We finally chose these lights because 1) they were 100ft, so they were long enough to cover the area, 2) they could be trimmed if needed, 3) they were self-adhesive, 4) they had a remote control, and 5) they were very reasonably priced. We knew that these lights were not specifically “outdoor” lights, but we thought that for the low price, we would give them a try to see how it looked and then once they stopped working, we might consider getting actual “outdoor” light strips which were significant higher priced. We put the light strip up in November and the whole process was surprisingly easy. Since then, we have had several hard rainstorms but these lights have survived. Last week, we had another rain storm that went on for hours. It tripped our breaker and made all of the Christmas lights in the front yard, as well as this light strip, go out. The next day, we reset the breaker and to our surprise, the light strip was still working. Pretty impressive! We have the app downloaded on our iPhone and it is seamless. We really like how easy it is to change the colors and pulse of the lights from our phone. So far, we have no complaints and have actually been really impressed with this light strip. We live in Arizona so the weather has been really beautiful. If these lights last until the summer, I will update this review to let you know if the lights we able to survive our 100+ degree summer. ... show more

Over all I’ve bought these twice. Early 2022 and may of 2023. I use basically all day everyday. The colors and brightness are both amazing. I love the ability to make your own colors. I have this pastel like purple over made that I use all the time. My current pair I’ve had since May of 2023 and I haven’t had to change the batter in the remote once. Now, like i said in the title you will want to use a surge protected power strip or outlet. Where i live we loose power often and it blinks often. This recent storm we has was pretty bad and the power blinked a good bit before we lost it for almost 24 hrs. It seems like the power surge broke them as well as my last pair. They are currently dull, remote wont work and they are cycling through all the colors very slower. Besides that annoying part that is not caused by the LEDs these are great. 10/10 would recommend. When I received this product, I was very worried I wouldn't be able to us the wifi/app aspect of the product due to my apartment wifi requiring to enter a MAC address in order to add anything to the network. However, if you are having this problem, I did find a workaround. On a windows computer, set up a mobile hotspot, and connect your phone to it. Then, go to the app and set up the lights on the app per usual, using the mobile hotspot as your network. After it is connected, the computer should show the MAC address of the lights on the mobile hotspot page. You are then able to add it to your apartment wifi, remove the device on the app, and then re-set it up after connecting you phone back to the apartment wifi. Again, very niche problem that will probably affect only a couple of people, but I hope this helps to anyone who is having this issue in the future. Works great after I was able to set up the app, and I love the ability to control my lights with my Google Home. ... show more

Easy to apply. Look and work as expected. Very very short and direct remote range. Also easy to plug in backwards. Rotate plug if doesn’t work. The problems with these are universal and not worth docking points. Running wires and all make a professional install about impossible.
