  • Easy to fly, fun!
Color: Sport Cub
This little plane is amazing for the price. 10 years ago this would have been crazy expensive, and this tech wasn't mature enough to be viable....they had tiny RC planes, but they were difficult to fly for your average pilot. The beginner mode and intermediate mode work very well and make flying this little plane a breeze. Any one who knows the basics of flying can fly in beginning mode. I flew it on expert for a little bit, to do some aerobatics, I don't recommend it unless you are VERY experienced. It was really squirrely in expert mode and can get out of hand in hurry, and the wind even a little bit can really mess you up. I have only flown this plane 3 times, once in my front yard, twice in my alley behind my house using the dirt road as a run way. It needs to have a smooth runway or it will nose over. The wheels are very small. I took it off in a track I made with my truck tire and that worked fine, but I wasn't precise enough to land it in the track for both flights back there and it nosed over on the landing from the bumpy road, it landed fine on the black top on the street in front of my house. The good news is NO Damage. I also dropped it from shoulder height while removing the battery, also no damage. The flight times are very long, I didn't notice any decrease in power before I landed and was up each time for several minutes, I didn't time it but it felt like I was flying for a while. Half throttle is more than enough power for normal flying, it still gains altitude even slightly below half throttle. To sum it all up, I highly recommend this plane to any one who knows the basics of flying RC. ... show more

  • Great value. Be patient before first flight
Color: Blue
Be patient before flying. Take time to understand the controls and how the plane is trimmed out through the controller. Test gliding is a must before powered flight. 6-axis stabilization system should basically bring the test Glide in on a soft Landing pattern. Do not fly in heavy rain until you're confident and familiar with this planes capability and how to control. If not, chances are you'll lose it or put it up in a tree or on top of the building. This plane is very responsive and flies extremely well. However you do need to be able to control it. Extremely durable. A great buy for a beginner. Just be smart and have plenty of room more than you think ... show more

  • 1st time out, pretty good
Color: Ranger 600
This is our first ever rc plane. I like that it is flexible styrofoam. When it landed it did not break. One propeller has broken. The book shows a wheel in the back, but ours didn't come with one and I don't see where it could even be attached. It flies well when when thrown. It doesn't take off from the ground that we can figure out so far. Batteries are very short...maybe 15 minutes. 2 came, but with only 1 charger. Some of us understood the controller faster than others. ... show more

  • DO NOT RECOMMEND
Color: Sport Cub
Gifted to our teenage son who flies other RC aircraft for Christmas. Blue sky day, no wind, walked to an outdoor soccer field with soft artificial turf surface. Upon one landing attempt it went down and broke the whole fuselage in half and bent the engine shaft. $100 for 15 minutes of fun. This was not a hard crash on a hard surface with a fast moving and heavy RC aircraft. Would not recommend this product. ... show more

  • A great plane for beginners or more experienced pilots!
Color: Blue
My son and I both really enjoy this plane. It has unbelieve able flight duration for the battery size. Also Lots of power ,and flight Modes for Dad and Son alike. We live in an open area with lots of wind and we can fly just fine. We enjoy hovering against the wind and picking it out of mid air. I have larger planes, but for an after supper fly in the back yard, this one can't be beat. Ours is banged up because of too many near ground stunts. I take full responsibility . We will get another one. A cheap, enjoyable hobby. Get one. Have some Dad and Son time. ... show more

  • Can’t beat the price for value.
My 10 yr old son and 8 year old daughter flies this thing like a pro. It’s easy to control and maneuver and fun to fly even if you’re an intermediate enthusiast. For the price, you can’t beat it.

  • Needed a little work...
Color: Blue
The wing is a little warped so rather than running a lot of right aileron trim I dropped the left trim tab a little bit to compensate. The airplane is a bit tail heavy so I glued 4 bb sized fishing weights inside the front cowling. The first time I turned off the xpilot it turned into real bucking bronco, incapable of level flight without constant intervention to avoid stalling. The added weight makes it fly nice and smooth like a piper cub should without need for the xpilot. I really like the xpilot for hand launching but I turn it off as soon as the cub has some altitude. Its a really fun airplane to fly after said modifications. I would recommend it for beginners. The merging of drone stabilization technology with a conventional airplane is a great idea. ... show more
