This is a OK enough camera for this use and took all of 3 seconds to connect to to the app and get it working. It does use the longer range 2.4 wifi band over the faster 5/6/7 band's, but in reality that is fine as most probably need distance more than speed as not sure even wifi 7 speeds would make any difference at all over 2.4 band for these. Not many options in the app, time lapse and for how long and not much else, but the picture is very sharp and nice. ... show more

Pretty easy to set up. I did have to reset during set up so it would pair with my WiFi. Magnet on clip base fell off with in 1 day from heat in tent and unit (the camera makes a surprising amount of heat). Contact cement took care of issue. 8 foot power cord makes it easy to route along tent poles.

    • Good camera, but has flaws
I like the quality of the picture. I like time lapse feature. I do not like the fact it needs to remain plugged in. Other tent cameras that I have are rechargeable and only need charged once a month or so. This would get 5 stars if it had that feature
