I made a stencil and burned it and went back in water colored what I wanted, and something told me to try and upgrade one so I did I bought the above. What an unbelievable, terrific fantastic unbelievable burning kit with nibs. I am in shock from the beginner one to this one. It’s like night and day.. so smooth so crisp. It’s like having charcoal pencils in your hand and you’re doing a piece of artwork. The same thing you would do sketching you do with the different tips and the different degrees of temperature and take your time and it’s just incredible.. so worth the money, easy instructions good quality of the machinery and the tools that go with it. I’m so happy that I took a liking to the first kit that I had with the screw in copper headpieces that were just like screwdriver looking things like angled pieces of fat copper that was cut anyhow upgrading to this I was almost putting it in my head. I bought this in 2022 an have only used it 3 times my third time i didn't get to finish my project because the wiring melted an kept the tip feom heating up. Guess I should just be thankful I can replace the Nib pen cheaply. Honestly thought this was a higher quality.

I initially ordered a different one of these and wasn’t happy with the inconsistency of the heat. This one works perfectly. The temperatures are in Celsius so if you need to know the Fahrenheit temp you’re gonna need to convert it. The only complaint I have is my fault, I should’ve gotten the two pen one. Otherwise, this thing works well, and the accessories are a plus. It was shipped out and received quickly, the price is fair, and I have no complaints on the unit. It works great. I've tried a soldering irons and butane Torches for wood burning in the past and this machine is so much easier to use! I watched a couple you tube videos for tips and tricks and wow, this has made crafting unique little designs so much easier. Changing tips can be a little tricky but the tool cools down almost as quickly as it heat up! Heat seems consistent but effects will vary deepening on the tips used. Instructions included gave info for what each tip is best used for but practice and usage of each one might give a desired effect not explicitly detailed. I've had this burner less than a week and I've used it everyday so far. The power cord is short so I needed an extension cord. It's comfortable in my hand and I'm really enjoying it! ... show more

    • BURNS HOT - impossible to get super light lines

I love the setup of this machine. I love the tin of various nibs, and a gigantic plus is that the pen NEVER gets too hot, even after hours of use! Plus, the heavy padding makes this very comfortable to use. HOWEVER, I bought this machine for the variable temperature so that I could create a variety of light and dark marks, but this burns way too hot. I cannot get super light marks unless I blow on the nib the whole dang time. I’ve used other machines and have not had this problem with any of them.
