My expensive Vivosun fan bit the dust after a little over a year and needed to be replaced. I wasn't able to spend the money for the good fan, so I ordered this one. It does the job, but I wonder how long it will live running 24/7. Time will tell.

Fan mount screws were loose out of the box, easy fix. It’s loud, use flex duct on vent side to muffle. The blades needed some tweaking to get rated air flow. The blade angle needed more pitch, after messing with it some, I was able to get way more flow out of it. It is sized to go inside metal round duct on both ends. For the diy’er, 400cfm equals 1 ton of air. Most homes don’t even have nearly adequate duct size, hence the tornado you hear. Flex duct should only be used the last 5 feet for the sole purpose of muffling the echoed air handler noise. I’m using this like most would, solve a hot room problem. ... show more
