I bought a thermostat to put inline in between the power cord and the extension cord. The heater runs as long as it is plugged in. It fired right up no problems. warmed up my garage in 6 minutes to where i was very comfortable in a light sweatshirt. I have an attached 2.5 car garage on my brick house. The garage stays about 40 degrees even when it gets in the teens (F). This takes the chill off fast. It is small and light. Im fine with the fact it uses propane a little faster then the 80 or 60k heaters. Since I only run it about 10 minutes total every hour its fine for me. Yes the arc starter keeps sparking once it is lit but It does not bother me. ... show more

We purchased this for our 50x50 shop to replace an upright patio heater. It definitely works and it works quickly. The biggest complaint is that it's pretty loud. If your using it in a place where your trying to have a conversation then you may be disappointed.
