I used this fan to exhaust the fumes in my home-built laser engraver enclosure. It creates surprisingly good suction, and keeps my enclosure free of smoke. It runs smoothly, and is not very loud, but I did put some rubberized foam under the feet, just to reduce any vibration.     • Great in line fan, wish it had multiple speeds
I used this as an in line fan for my resin printer tent where I created a closed loop system with a vivosun grow tent and carbon filter. It does a great job for that need. It is surprisingly powerful. I wish it had multiple speeds as I don't need it on full blast. I also wish it had a power switch of some kind.     • Don't waste your time. Made of plastic leaks through seams
Keep in mind what you are using this for. I tried to use it as a hobby exhaust system but noticed that the unit leaks at the seams where the two halves come together. Also, this isn't as quiet as I would like for how little air it actually moves. Just save your money and look for a quality unit. Better to buy once than have to find a replacement and make two purchases later on. ... show more

    • Two in a row died in less than two months
They died as these fans have no thrust bearings to speak of. Both when they gave up the ghost buzzed and roared from the drive shaft trying to lock up.
