This bed tent is easy-open and spring loaded. It comes with its own round zippered carrying case. The case has fairly long handles and a large zipper to make it easy to get the tent in and out of the case. The tent itself has an elastic band around it to keep it closed. It also comes with four fiberglass shock-corded poles in a pole bag. Two of the poles fit into pocket sleeves across the top and two go into the curved ends to give stability to the bottom corners. All of the pole pockets have zippers at the end so that you can slide the pole in place and then zip it closed so it does not come out accidentally during use. The tent itself is made to be placed on a twin bed with a mattress on the inside. There are four mesh pockets on the edges, one with a Velcro opening for power cords. Both long sides of the tent can be completely opened with the flap rolled up towards the top and held out of the way. There are also large mesh windows at both ends of the tent that can be opened from either the inside or the outside. Both the mesh screen and the solid panel have zippers. There are tie backs with T-buckles at the bottom of the windows so they can be rolled and held out of the way. This tent is pretty cool and is especially useful in a shared bedroom or dorm environment where one person wants to have their own space and privacy. The Light Starry Sky color that I got has more pink in it than I originally thought. I got this for my grandson, and he loves it and doesn’t think that it is too girly. The tent can be folded up and put back into its case although it does take a little bit of practice to master how to twist and maneuver the poles. The fabric is white on the inside and printed on the outside, so the Galaxy print is visible to everyone in the room but is not as bold for the person inside the tent. All of the doors and windows on this tent are curved. The fabric is not light blocking. It does protect you from direct light shining in your eyes, but it doesn't create a super dark environment. ... show more

My family shares a bedroom and this is the closest thing we could give my oldest to a room of her own! It’s exactly as described, was relatively easy to set up, and she loves it. For us, it was a perfect fit, but here are some notes from our experience that may be helpful. 1. My daughter’s bed is a low loft. This tent would be too tall for a standard bunk. 2. The poles are moderately difficult to insert, especially if you do what we did and put the mattress inside first. I would recommend inserting the poles before the mattress. 3. The tent had an odd smell initially but went away after a day or two. 4. If you have it closed completely, it can get hot, so I keep one of the mesh sides open for airflow. 5. I can have a lamp on or watch TV (low volume) at night without disturbing her. It’s not noise canceling. ... show more
