    • Work great in my grinders, love the pepper smell
I've never used anything other than "Morton" salt, the blue cylinder with the flip open spout. Even the pepper grinder I did use until it broke, had a salt shaker on top, I never had an actual salt grinder. So when it broke, I picked up a nice set of grinders, and needed salt and pepper for them. Looking around, I saw this, and thought, "Seriously? This much money for salt and pepper?" Never having purchased either like this, I thought it was expensive. But when I searched around even more, both online and at local brick and mortar sites, I found this was about the right price. Even the local wally world store has it at the same price as here on Amazon. The salt is good, but not being a salt aficionado, I can't wax rhapsodic about its qualities. It does have a better bite than the Morton's stuff I've used up until now. The pepper, on the other hand - amazing. I love the odor, it reminds me of the peppercorn jerky I make. The smell is amazing, and the taste is outstanding. Even simply when throwing a couple pre-pressed hamburger patties from the store on my indoor grill (It's winter in Wisconsin, I avoid my patio and grilling in this cold weather) this really enhances the flavor. Grinds up easily in my grinders, the bags seal closed again, so should last quite some time. I can see why people give these high reviews. ... show more

    • The salt is gritty!
I can't use the salt, its too gritty! I use course salt a lot but this ruined what I seasoned it with. I've had himalayan salt. This tasted like there was sand in it. The peppercorns were great and were flavorful like they were fresh. I won't buy as a packaged set again.

    • Salt is salt but the pepper was amazing
I've been making a bunch of Roman style pastas lately and if you know you know. The pepper is amazing. Feels fresh and has an amazing smell when you crack them. Definitely a great value if you need a stock up on both salt and pepper!
