Wife and I decided to try e biking. Didn't want to invest too much starting out. Needed to fit in our SUV. Came down to Vilitan U7 and the lectric xp 3. Got the Lectric for my wife because I believed it was better for smaller riders. Got the Vitilan for me for the larger motor to haul my larger than it should be body up hills. Bike arrived 3 days ago. Was very well packaged and had no damage from shipping. Assembly was simple. Pedals, seat, handlebars, bottle holder, clean brakes and put air in tires. Did not install front rack by choice. Put battery on the charger. Charger does get hot (no fan). Decided to test ride bike without battery. Discovered the derailleur was WAY out of adjustment. Nothing a screwdriver and a google search couldn't fix. Rode the bike sans battery around block a couple of times. Not too bad, but it was entirely flat ground. Finally rode bike with battery. This thing is sooo much fun. Wife and I haven't been on bikes in years. That is certainly going to change. Made several adjustments to setting to make bike more to my liking. Increased the power in PAS 1 (seemed really low) and changed tire size to 22" to make the speedometer more accurate. Top speed has been 24-25 mph throttle only. Impossible to pedal above 20 mph (ghost pedalling). Have tried to change settings so throttle power is not linked to PAS level, without any luck. Side by side with the Lectric xp 3 long range, I can't find anything to suggest that the Vitilan is a lesser quality than the Lectric. In fact, with all the upgrades on the Vitilan it looks to be a much better value! UPGRADES vs Lectric larger motor larger battery wider tires included front rack hydraulic brakes bottle holder color screen suspension seat post and softer seat mag wheels longer warranty I guess the trade off for all of these upgrades is brand reliability and a company that is based in the US. If the Vitilan U7 remains a reliable bike, it is a much better bike for the money than the Lectric. ... show more

    • A very sturdy, well made bike

I chose this ebike because I needed one that was strong enough to hold my weight and also be foldable to take with me when I travel. It ended up being too heavy for me to lift. I even destroyed the box just trying to get it out of the box. I ordered the pink one, but it is not pink, but a neon coral color that clashes with the pink extras I bought to go with it. Other than that, it is a very nice bike and very well priced for all that you get with it. It took me a while to get the battery out though. The directions were not completely clear and neither were any Youtube videos I found. It was easy once I learned how though. I love that it is also very tall. I am a 5'6" woman with longer legs than torso, so finding a bike that I could ride easily was hard. I was very happy with that. Someone smaller in stature may have problems. The controls are easy to understand and it comes with a nice, large display that is easy to read. All in all, I would recommend this bike for anyone who is looking for a cheap ebike to start out their ebiking journey. But it is too heavy for me to lift being over 70 pounds. That probably wouldn't be a problem for someone younger and stronger. ... show more

Very nice bike , the ride is smooth with or without power. We own two of the V3 and we needed another one for my daughter. The V7 is an amazing bike. This brand has to be my favorite brand. Truth be told I don’t know much about e-bike brands. I do know or did know about non power or regular bikes brands at one time in my life, LOL But for some reason some of the brand we knew and known, they don’t make e-bikes. Well back in 2020 or 2021 we bought two of the v3 from Vitilan and they been great. Now we have a third, the v7. Well Too soon to tell but it rides very nice and is as fast as the v3 just over 30mph. Yes they are a bit on the heavy side. That’s something to consider. The v3 has mechanical brakes and the v7 has hydraulic brakes. Perhaps the hydraulic are better. Not sure , but yea on a motorcycle. but the mechanical are just fine on a bike. I’m sure that theirs many other e-bikes brand that are good. I on the other hand I will continue to look at Vitilan as a very good bike. Also they fold up and can be store away in a small space. The V3 are bit lighter than the V7 in weight. My check list: Before you get a bike look at the price, wattage, speed, weight, display, type of throttle, brakes, size of tires, the width of the tire, the type of rims like mags aluminum or spokes which are a bit lighter, height of the bike rider, if for road and semi smooth or off-road use and transporting and where to store when not use. Now don’t forget to check for the new rules on where to ride e-bikes. so keep that in mind. Perhaps you want an e-bike to ride in a certain place and they may have just change the law or have new rules as to what kind of bikes are allowed. Do your research before buying. Now after only 40 miles the key will not turn, battery dead, screen only works when plugged in and flickers. Starting return. So sad because it was fun. After two duds, I’m not sure whether to try again. So incredibly disappointed. We spent dozens of hours researching and watching reviews before getting the U3 for me and the i7 for my husband. I only got the U3 instead because it’s supposed to be a shorter yet I can barely tip toe with the seat all the way down and does not feel safe to be stationary at stops on your toes. Yet I can flat foot the i7 which is supposed to be taller. All this money, I don’t want to have to buy anything else besides the rack bag and safety gear we got. Not to mention the i7 we got has a defective handlebar post lock and is unridable. Taking both to a bike shop for quotes and waiting for seller responses, but planning to return both because we don’t want to spend more money to fix them ourselves. ... show more
