The Vinyl Works AF Swimming Pool Ladder is a double step entry system for easy climbing in and out of your above-ground pool. It has a self-closing, self- latching & lockable gate for both safety & to meet code requirements. It is adjustable from 48 inches to 56 inches with a 12-inch top rail clearance. With only a 22-inch footprint, this ladder allows for maximum use of your pool.

Got this to go with our new above ground pool as I don’t like climbing ladders and my father is handicapped and needed stairs to enter the pool and my son is autistic so I needed something that could lock. While it does the job, the steps are very narrow and my father won’t be able to climb them but for everyone else they are ok. It does lock most of the time, however the arms are very flimsy and my son can basically pull on the side and unlock the gate so we have had to jimmy-rig something that he can’t undo. For $$$ I thought it would be way better quality and last a lot longer. We are looking at putting in a deck next summer as this probably won’t last longer than a year. ... show more

Things to know, It is much better than a ladder. The stairs are steep but much more stable than the ladder. If you are expecting them to be like stairs in your house you may be disappointed. We filled it with small gravel to keep if from floating. I recommend aquarium gravel, it needs to be that small. LOVE the gate feature as we have a terrier who would be in the pool all the time. ... show more

After looking at all the Ladders on line we chose this one and was hoping it would be sturdy and it is ! We added the gravel in the side that goes in the water, must be pea size to fit into the plastic channels. Also the instructions say to screw the top platform to your top plate on your pool but we have a tube top rail so I secured the Ladder with some white nylon rope and another piece of rope to hold open the gate since it is self closing. Read and follow instructions for assemble. The hand rails need to be beefed up to provide better support getting in and out of the pool. It did serve to secure the pool. I would recommend for this purpose. The price could be better.

The media could not be loaded. This review is based on my opinion only and is intended to help guide the next customer only. Any ways, It said in the instructions that you need 2 people to install and well you only need 2 people to lift over the pool wall but other than that the instructions aren't as difficult as most say it is in these reviews I put it together in 30 minutes and I'm no handy man. Is it worth the money not really, I would've paid $450 for it no problem considering the quality but supply and demand got the best of me I guess lol. I'm 280 lbs and holds steady for me no problem and honestly I'd buy it again for sure, it beats the heck out of the trash ladder that came with my 12x24 ft Intex pool. I'll post another Review in 6 months after we see how well it holds up ... show more
