I read several reviews that were trashing the sound quality on this, but I don’t know what unrealistic expectations those people had for the size of this player and it’s speakers. I think it sounds great for its size! You can also plug more powerful speakers into it. I haven’t bothered with the Bluetooth feature, I bought this to play my vintage records. The high point for this machine is the sound. It's better than we expected it to be. I guess I miss the old features of the needle arm being so automatic and this one definitely doesn't have that ease but I'm used to it now and it's not that big a deal. I do wish the booklet would give info on a replacement cartridge and there's some buttons that are impossible to read because they are embossed in black on black. Old eyes don't handle that too well. However, given the price and the fact that this is not a unit I'll be using daily, I'm happy enough with the purchase. Plus, it's small enough that it's very easy to tuck into a little nook somewhere when storing it. ... show more

We are loving this record player! Ours was old and when it finally quit working we had to get another one and came across this one. It’s super easy to use and the sound quality is great. Also, it’s so cute and I’m loving this blue color. It looks classy and bohemian at the same time. We had friends over and got lots of complements. It would make a great gift too. The sound quality is great for such a record player. We don’t like to use the Bluetooth function since we want to feel nostalgic about it. ... show more

I really appreciate how easy it was to set this up. Just plug and play essentially. That was nice. I also really like the compact size and the look. BUT the component parts are very cheap plastic and I anticipate they will eventually break. But worst of all, the sound quality is horrendous, even when I hooked it up to a quality external speaker. I'm not some tech-expert audio person at all and in no way super picky about sound quality but this is really excruciatingly bad. Essentially I have a medium-serious case of buyer's remorse but will not return because I'm just happy to be able to play my records again. ... show more

I bought this as a gift. It seemed pretty solid out of the box. We put a record on it and immediately I thought the sound quality was really good. I got through side a and flipped it over. Got about halfway through and then the sound started getting distorted, slowing down and speeding up. There was a pamphlet in the box which stated the belt might need to be readjusted after transport so I took off the top plate, reset the belt, and put it back together according to the instructions. Now the speed was even worse, sometimes not turning at all. I took the thing apart several more times trying to figure out how to make it work, but the belt has no teeth or grip so it just keeps slipping. This could be a really solid product but the belt which drives the table and makes it functional is literal garbage, and makes this thing completely useless. ... show more

Oh my gosh!! What a great find! Great sound quality and it is an awesome conversation piece. Would be a great gift for someone wanting to remember earlier times. Also good for kids that thinks it’s cool or “old timey”! The teal coordinates nicely in my front room. Is as pictured!!

Youngest daughter enjoys Neil Diamond (how cool is that?) and the sound of vinyl. She’s please with this record player so far, so I’m pleased. Options for external speakers, so while the sound isn’t “concert quality” or quantity, it would be pretty easy to build on for that.
