  • Looks and Sounds GREAT
I didn't expect this record player to sound as good as it does. It looks exactly as expected, which is gorgeous, but the included speakers were a lot nicer than I would have expected, for both records and via Bluetooth. I appreciated that there was an adapter for 45s included, and that there's a dust cover built in. If you want to use the turntable with a different system, the speakers are connected via RCA jacks, which can act as a line out instead. Even though the included speakers were better than I expected, this turntable really came to life when I put it through our much nicer entertainment system with subwoofer. It's a complete winner, and in a really nice looking wooden finish. I think this turntable rivals other belt-driven turntables at a much higher pricetag, but won't compete against a high end direct drive. As long as you're just looking for a decent belt-driven machine, this one should fit the bill quite nicely. ... show more

  • Great little record player
I've been collecting vinyls for a bit now, typically every artist that has had an impact on my life, I own their vi yl but the funny thing is I haven't owned a vinyl player in over a decade. I'm glad I have this player a try, it's not too bulky which is great as I have minimal space to spare. I've only tried your standard sized records, at least which all the ones I own are sized and it plays them flawlessly ... show more

  • Records are Here Once Again
Records are making a comeback. Twenty years ago, no one would have expected this, but here we are, indulging in the sounds of vinyl records once again. This means, of course, that you need a means to spin these discs and this record player is here to satisfy your needs. One thing I liked right away about this record player is that it comes with its own set of speakers. You do not need to supply your own. However, they are very basic speakers so if sound quality matters to you, it might be a good idea to purchase a better set and add them. You can spin 78, 45, or 33 RPM discs on this record player. All I currently have are 33, but if records continue to grow in popularity, who knows? I just may add some other speeds, and it is good to know that you can play them on this player. I also like the auto shut- off and other features, most of which are standard on record players. There is another nice feature with this record player, and that is the fact that you can also hook it up to your smartphone via Bluetooth, and play music electronically. It’s got a good deal to offer and other than the average sound quality, it’s a good choice for this new era of music. ... show more

  • Good sounding little turntable, plays 33, 45, 78, has built in amp, no line out
The media could not be loaded. This is a small self-contained turntable with speakers. It has a built-in amplifier, and the speakers plug into RCA jacks in the back. It can play 33, 45, and 78 RPM records, and includes a 45-rpm adapter. It has auto stop. The only adjustment is a volume control. The needle drop lever has a damper that produces a nice slow descent onto the record. There is a notch in the side of the cover, so you can close the cover with an LP playing. It is a surprisingly good sounding little turntable. Music is nice and clear, not much surface noise, and it even played a warped 45 that I was about ready to throw out. The included speakers do not sound as good as the turntable is capable of. I attached a pair of bookshelf stereo speakers and they sound better than the included speakers. The device can play audio from an external Bluetooth source. It is not capable of digitizing records, and does not even have a line level output or a headphone jack. The audio sample included in the video was recorded from the speaker outputs, using a pair of 4K input to 600 ohm output audio transformers, feeding into the line-level inputs of a mixer and PCM encoder. If you want to connect an external amplifier, the transformer approach works well. You will probably want to turn up the bass. This is a good simple turntable, does not take up much space, and sounds quite a bit better than most of its kind. ... show more

  • enjoying my favorite music.
I am not sure why I requested this, but probably because after seeing and enjoying listening to the Three Tenors 25th Anniversary (Vinyl LP) at my grandparent's house, I suddenly wanted to enjoy some music on Vinyl LP at home as well. I am the only one who is not an audiophile in my extended family, even though I learned to play the piano for a long time. Since I got this, I have enjoyed Vivaldi: The Four Seasons without any issue on this. My brother, who is a very particular audiophile, didn't seem to be impressed, but he is hard (impossible) to please. It's mine, so I think I will enjoy some classical music and hopefully some operas on this. I think the final verdict on its worthiness will come down to its longevity. As long as it proves to be durable, the cost performance in terms of overall quality (both in record players and sound quality) versus price seems good to me. ... show more

  • Impressed
It was beautiful. It sounds like a moment back in time and adds this beautiful home feeling. I don't know how to better describe it. It is not too big itself, but the speakers are. I love the sound quality, it has this crisp to it as it plays the record and I am obsessed.

  • Disappointing, broken and mediocre
Color: Yellow Wood
When I first unboxed this and assembled it I saw that the stylus would not reach down to the platter (see photo) and it was therefore unplayable. I disassembled the unit to find out the issue and saw that the screws which hold the stylus to the plinth (very flimsy particle board) had stripped out and were dislodged. I repaired it with epoxy and wood glue and stabilized it and made it playable. After that, stylus movement was normal so I continued to test it out - the sound is mediocre at best. Cold, not befitting the speaker size at any volume. The grills are not removable but it feels like there are 3" drivers in each particle board cabinet. Very poor sound for the range. Mine was broken and therefore useless - but even after I repaired it I'm unimpressed. There are better offerings in this space. The platter drive movement, the stylus itself (AudioTechnica) and the wow and flutter are all acceptable and this unit might sound good with a different preamp and different speakers - but that should not be required. This is advertised as a standalone solution. ... show more
