First let me start with, I have an above ground, 4500 gallon pool. Last season we had a problem with it being too cold for our liking (low 70’s) even on hot summer weeks. It would never get above about 75 degrees. Now if you’re thinking that this thing will heat your pool when it’s cold outside, it simply will not. If the air temperature is too low, it will not produce heat. With that being said, when the outside temperature reaches the 80’s your pool temperature will go up fast! The hotter it is outside, the hotter the water it can produce. THE SECOND DAY of using this (2- 8 hour cycles) my pool went from 70 to about 83 degrees. We have used our pool more this year so far (it’s only June 16th) than we were able to almost all of last year. ... show more

    • It is the worst pool heater I ever purchased.
It is very poorly rated. It does not heat the pool like it says in the description. I have it set at 80 degrees and have the solar cover on, I have had my pool open for 3 weeks, and the water temperature never got up to 72 degrees. Very unhappy and dissatisfied. Now it leaks internally. Can't use it what a waste of money. ... show more

We have this hooked up to our 8' x 30" above ground pool. It's about 800 gal and this heater keeps it as warm or cool as we want it. It's smart enough to turn off when the filter gets clogged and flow stops and it is also smart enough to start back up once the flow is restored. Very powerful, energy efficient. We heated the water up to 102F!!! Too hot, but had to try :) ... show more

    • This heater doesn't warm the water
This particular product I bought does not work, I bought this in December and it didn't work at all but I though it was too cold and maybe later on it will work better. I wait until January and February and still did not warm the water. I live in Florida and I thought this heater would be good for the cool days but it doesn't work. I'm trying to contact the company to return it because it was a waste of money. ... show more

Unit purchased in March for summer season. Installed end of May. Does not heat pool at all. Stays at 72 degrees. Return/refund timeline lapsed. Out 600.00. Would not recommend.

    • Amazing Energy Saving Solution
This “heater” was confusing at first. Runs cold to touch and created significant drain water. All normal for a heat exchanger evidently. Also, took a bit of experimenting with flow rate to get the temperature right. The Misses likes a warm pool so I ran this at full flow instead of manufacturer’s recommended 500 GPH with 1/3 Hp sand filter overnight. Our 18’ ft above ground pool reached 88 degrees with outside temp of 59 degrees overnight on 110 v power!!!! 5 stars across the board 30 days in… ... show more
