  • Perfect
We LOVE this heater! It is a work horse... heats our pool (22ftx12ft) about 2 degrees every hour ...even with only 1 jet returning heated water. It was well worth the money. Very well constructed and durable!

  • Not reliable
Will not reliably stay working. It was 50/50 from day one of it’d actually work when turned on. Now after about a dozen attempts it just straight up doesn’t work at all. Should of returned immediately but now I’m stuck. For $1500 really expected a lot more.

  • Perfect replacement for Raypak 055
Raypak no longer makes the smaller Raypak 055 but this unit is a great replacement. It’s 105K BTU’s vs 55K BTU for the older unit. The water inlet and outlet are reversed from the older unit and the venting is 6” vs 4” but it’s worth the work to install it. I am very pleased with the performance of this new heater. ... show more

  • DO not purchase will leak and rust
If they had zero stars I would pick that . Honest review-we purchased this pool heater not even 1 year ago only used less than ten times. We would use the heater to heat the pool sometimes it would kick on them wouldn't come on after awhile from day one ( we already had to change the ignitor when we had it for the first week). Then we noticed our water level getting low in the pool , we turned the heater on that morning pool was filled and temp was 96. We get off work we go in the pool noticed the water level dropped and so did the pool temp. We also noticed yet again the heater was not kicking on. We got put the pool my husband (also a license plumber) unscrewed the heater and noticed it was leaking and rusted the heater on the inside. Which it's been leaking for a long time for the heater to completely rust on the inside. Called the manufacturer talked to them let them know what was going on sent pictures through email. ( The manf was supposed to call back but did not) Yet replied to email that there's nothing they can do because our pool chemical caused their heater to rust. (In the book given they did not even recommend a certain pool chemical to use). My husband called back waited 20 plus mins for someone to answer even though it stated wait time was 1-2mins. The manf who finally answered did not want to here what he had to say or discuss a refund/new heater or partial refund than hung up. SO NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THIS POOL HEATER FOR 1700.00 IT WILL NOT LAST, WILL LEAK AND RUST FROM THE FIRST DAY YOU RECEIVE THE HEATER AND WE ARE NOW OUT 1700 NOT EVEN A YEAR LATER AND ONLY USED LESS THAN TEN TIMES. DO NOT PURCHASE AT ALL. GET AN INFLATABLE JOT TUB ITS CHEAPER . ... show more

  • Works great!
Better that the first one we had and that one lasted 6 years for our now enclosed above ground pool. Hubby built a heater house completely with side vents and chimney vent pipe. Don’t think it would have lasted as long otherwise.
