The blower motor failed after 13 months. Pentair customer support is horrible! They requested a technician provide a diagnosis, which I did, and they still denied the replacement part, which is $600. On top of it, the heat exchanger is already leaking. $1700 wasted, never buying a Pentair product again! ... show more

This is $2000 purchase. They have a 30 day return policy. The first year the flue sensor broke and we had to repair at a cost of $800. Now, the heat exchanger is done and the entire unit needs to be replaced. Do not buy from this seller. Please learn from our mistake. Just purchased this heater back in June and had it installed professionally last Thursday. It heats up my 24' above ground pool great. However out of the box it makes when the heater is running most of the time a high pitched sound (seems like coming from the fan). I called Pentair for support and they only cover the parts for a year and do not provide any technical support. You need to pay a professional to come look at it and diagnose the issue first. Received heater after waiting 3 weeks and installed it, had the gas hooked up by a professional, turned the heater on and there was nothing, blower motor doesn’t work called Pentair and all there representative said is it only had six weeks of warranty because I installed it do not buy it is junk waisted $3000. ... show more

I had a plumber install and when he plugged it in the breaker went off. After the electrician checked it out he said one of the wire nus had a hot wire touching the metal side of the case which was grounded. I think it was a factory problem and it cost me to get it repaired. It is running great now.
