We are using this heater for about a 10×20 bestway pool. It was easy to set up and has done a good job at keeping the temperature that we want. There are a lot of days at the beginning and end of the season that is nice outside but the pool water is just too cold to be enjoyable. We got a solar pool cover last year and it made a small difference. This year we tried out this heater and using it and the cover has made a huge difference. The pool temperature drops much less overnight and is up to the set temperature by around noon each day. We have gotten a lot more use out of our pool earlier in the season than usual and expect to be able to use it a lot longer at the end of the season also. We are very happy with it. As an added bonus, besides warming the pool the fan on the heater also blows out cold air. It did not take long for our dogs to figure this out. When they are outside with us on hot days one of them is almost always laying in front of it. They love having an outdoor doggie air conditioner. ... show more

Was so looking forward to a 110v plug in pool heater. This item does not work. Water from heater is cold, and does not heat water at all. Heater was left on for 48+ hours and temperature of water remained at 60 degrees even though outside temp was 78. Instruction manual is useless. Seller was unresponsive to requests for refund, thankfully Amazon worked with me and I was able to get a refund. Now what to do with a 70 lb piece of junk.... Wish I could give 0 stars ... show more

I live in West Virginia even when it gets warm it’s cold at night. My pool was always cold I even had a solor cover and a solor pannel that helped but no much. Decided to get this heater this summer. When I hooked it up pool water was 66 degrees it took about a week but now my pool is at 88 degrees I love it and even with the cold nights in the morning it is still around 84. I do put solor cover on at night to keep heat in. I’ve only had it about 2 weeks now but it’s doing a really good job at keep my pool warm😊 pump quit working would not turn on at all after a hard rain. Replaced plug on end with the same kind of plug now it works again I guess water got inside and ruined the plug. Just to let anyone know who might have had the same problem ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So I bought this last week may 22nd 2024 left it on heat only mode for the entire weekend. Today may 30th 2024 last night got to 58° out in northeast Ohio and twmp went from 79 to 75. Put on auto mode we will see if that fixes it. Hopefully, it does will let you know end of week. ... show more

    • It does a great job of heating my above ground pool
I've had this heater for about 2 months now. I have a 4231 gal above ground pool with a 2500 gph filter pump. I setup our pool this spring, located in central California where temps are about 45F at night and 70+ during the day. I purchased this to help extend the pool season and take the bite out of the chilly water. Setup was super easy! I connected the hoses, plugged it right in, and it started to heat once my pump was running. It took about 3 days to get it up to 91F, which was too warm for me, but my kids loved it. i keep it at about 80F, but I was really glad to know that it could be done based on what temp setting I place it on. I also use a solar cover to help keep the heat in. This heater has been a game changer and I am really glad I made this purchase. ... show more

I bought this back in the winter. Trying now to hook it up. My system is a little different than the manual. Reached out to se seller. Had Amazon contact them with my question. The seller responded.. it’s in the diagram. Wow I spent over $600 for this and all I get is nothing

Doesn't heat as big of a pool as the package says, I actually need two of these to heat my 26 foot by 12 foot above ground pool so it stays warm enough to use in September in Colorado.

We live in the mountains so it's a colder climate. This heater is a game changer for us! We are impressed at how well it works and the difference it has made for us. Occasionally our pool on very hot days would warm up some but it never seemed enough that it was comfortable to get in anytime especially evenings or night. This heater we are using on our Bestway Coleman 20 ft Pool. Our water is running above 85 daily and staying at around 88 that is stirred up with out the solar cover on. This heater heats to the temperature that it is set to and kicks on and off as needed. That's the best part about it you can choose your temperature for your pool and if you are looking for a heater this one works great! Best product I have spent money on!!!! ... show more
