The directions were useless. Drawings of what went where, but difficult to see. I figure it the basics with the drawings and for it put together. This frame is a lot of sturdy for the price! When we got this product I was well in my second trimester of having our son. We were looking for a bed frame that was quick and easy to install and this was the perfect example of fast and reliable. We used this on our queen sized mattress with no box spring and it’s a s if you don’t need one. It is a little noisy, it is tall enough to make storage space underneath the bed. This bedframe is nice and basic, but very well made. I was able to build it by myself in about 20 minutes. The height of it is perfect for me getting in and out of. Also, the space underneath is nice to have. Ever since the first time I put together a bed, I have dreaded putting beds together. Granted, I usually put together large wooden queen beds with a head and foot board but that's besides the point. I jumped on this bed so quick because the price seemed too good. I was originally disappointed by the lack of headboard, until I put it together. I cannot believe how easy it was! Literally floored. Took maybe 30 minutes? And I think a good 10 of it was fighting with the all the tape on the box lol. I just pushed it up against the wall, hung a tapestry, and it doesn't even matter. Keeps the mattress off the ground, very truly does not need a box spring (thank god), has so much space for storage, and way sturdier than I thought it would be (don't worry, my kid tested it and so did my fat butt haha). I don't normally write reviews, but this frame is worth a review. It is simple and is just as pictured, but the thickness of metal is better than what I expected, the ease of assembly is great, and everything fits very nice and snug. I just needed something cheap and simple. I wasn't expecting the quality to be as good as it was. Also, plenty of room underneath for storage. My teenager is 6’3”, 190#, and not gentle. He somehow managed to break his last “sturdy” metal frame bed and I needed something extra durable that he can’t tear up. He has a 12” mattress that’s pretty heavy and I was looking for something extra strong to support both the mattress and my son. This had the highest weight setting, so I gave it a shot. Pros: very sturdy, doesn’t move around, doesn’t squeak, supports the heavy mattress and my son even when he tosses and turns all night, I don’t think he will break it even when he flops on the bed with all his weight Cons: assembly is confusing. The way they labeled the bolts makes no sense and it made the directions extremely confusing. Even with several people, we still struggled to figure out which bolts went where, and we ended up putting the wrong bolts in the wrong places several times and had to redo it. It’s a shame too, since it was so easy to put together and should’ve been a quick 20-30 minute project with a drill, but it was easily an hour. If they just fix the labeling of the bolts, assembly would be a breeze. I ordered the tall frame thinking my son would like the height and he could store his off season athletic gear in separate tubs under his bed. Unfortunately, he isn’t a fan of sleeping almost 30” off the ground and it’s been an adjustment. However, my dog has a new cave to sleep in so she’s quite happy, ha.
