This review is informed by only one night of sleep, but it was the best night's sleep I've had in perhaps years! The 3" topper is excellent for side-sleepers. My hips sink in deep so that when laying on my side it feels like my spine is actually straight. My whole body felt cradled, and while the topper is a little bit warm, I expected that from a memory foam (and I'm looking forward to it with winter coming!) The topper arrived two days late, but I won't complain about that. Removing it from the box and overwrap was easy, I let it rise for 24 hours before use, though I think it was probably ready in 12. I did not notice any odors coming off of it at all. I will admit the material felt a wee bit greasy when I was hauling it up onto my bed, but three layers of various bedding linens makes it so I'll only be touching the vaguely greasy surface of the foam once a quarter when it's time to wash the mattress pad & protector. I had been considering purchasing a whole new mattress since my 9-year old memory foam mattress was starting to feel too firm - I'm so glad my buddy recommended a topper! I paid a tenth of the price (and a tenth of the aggravation) of buying a new mattress and expect to get at least a year, if not more, out of this topper. If you need to add softness/support to your mattress that hasn't quite bit the dust, this is an excellent and affordable way to do so! ... show more

Breaks easily if you move it a lot, which we have to do in order to put our sofa bed in and out daily (it is currently being used). But, it solved most of the problem that comes with a sofa bed, that is, feeling the frame underneath. The little holes in it provides comfort, but also, that is where the cracking and breaking are happening, along those lines. ... show more

If you have never slept on a memory foam mattress then you are not living. This is actually considered a “topper” we bought a fairly good new king size mattress but have been sleeping on memory foam for years. This 3-inch cooling gel infused bed topper for your king size mattress is comfortable and also firm, completely took care of my back pain with its thick and soft ventilated design, and importantly us certified at (38 x 74 x3 inch) we Live in Arizona so you might as well sleep cooler and that is what this 3-inch gel memory foam topper does with its unique hole punch design to provide maximum air flow. It arrived in plastic packaging and brand new. I unrolled it and gave it about 6 hours to expand and i covered it with a mattress cover and sheet. I have had much less pain and it's on top of a memory foam mattress so it's extremely comfortable now! I would probably have opted for the 2" if I had realized how thick a 3" topper is, but I am perfectly happy with this. No smell and very nice to sink into at night! I am not totally satisfied with this product, its hot, hard to move in the bed. We sweat terrible, even though I put another cover on top of it. I would return this product, but totally inflated, I do not see how to send it back to China!

Thought the topper would help with my pain and be comfortable enough to conform to my body and how I sleep! I found myself in more pain and tossing and turning more because of the bed being too firm and not comfortable enough when I am in pain!
