I purchased this 10x10 foot tent to provide shade while working on my car, and it seems like it will do the job well. Assembling the tent was somewhat tricky. The four telescoping poles need to be extended and locked into place, but the locking mechanism is not very smooth and can be difficult to engage, causing the poles to collapse when setting up. Setting it up on your own can be challenging, but having a second person to help makes the process much easier. The tent features screens on each side to keep mosquitoes at bay, which can be removed if needed. It also comes with a convenient carry bag. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to fold the tent. Despite looking like a mess initially, collapsing it and rolling it on the floor allowed it to fit into the carry case with ease. This tent could also be very useful for beach outings or other outdoor activities, making it a versatile option for those who engage in such activities frequently. ... show more

After going through numerous, cheaply-made pop-up canopies over the years, which most didn’t even last throughout our week-long beach vacations, I am thrilled to now own this. Setup takes less than 10 minutes; it’s super easy, one person can do it, and clear instructions are included. I love how the netted sides not only protect us from the bugs during our camping trips and backyard get-togethers, but they can easily be removed; an awesome, multi-use canopy for beach trips, as well. I also love how the carrying bag has a full zipper, which makes it super-easy to place the folded-up canopy back into, unlike the bags that just open on one end and close up by a drawstring.     • Comfortable and Solid Product.
I got this 10x10 foot tent to provide shade while going to the beach or camping, and after a dry run at home it seems like it will work. Assembling the tent was harder than I had imagined. There are four poles that need to be strung together, and then need to be extended , pushed, and locked into place. The connection can be difficult to engage, and if you fail the tent can collapse and you are back where you started. Having three people assist makes it much easier, and having a second person to help is a must, at least for me. On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to fold the tent. The tent came in the color described and has nice features. There are tight screens on each side to keep mosquitoes out. They can be opened up if you want. The carrying case is cool too. After collapsing it and rolling it together, it fit into the carry case with ease. Better than most tent cases which are way too small. ... show more

I absolutely love this tent. Very easy to set up: even though instructions are clear, it’s very intuitive. Just pull up the top and lock the legs up. Can be put up by one person in about five minutes. All four walls are removable with double-sided zippers, and there are sandbags that you can fill with sand or rocks to keep in place, in addition to anchors. It obviously lets some sun through. The roof and walls cover about 70% of the inside surface; the mesh lets the sun in for the rest. You do want to use sunscreen if you are inside the area that is not fully protected by the sun. Large enough to accommodate 4-5 people sleeping in bags next to each other. Great for picnics and beaches. Highly recommend. ... show more

I tried setting this up by myself, and had some issues with the poles. My kids helped with each side, and it was much easier with in minutes. It's large enough for 6 chairs and a table. Using this for back yard and camping trip. I'm not sure how this would handle at the beach, but I'm guessing similar. The entire tent once secure, is very sturdy. What I like: it folds down quite a bit making it great for packing for camping. Relatively lightweight, compared to a normal canopy Fairly easy to assemble once you get the hang of it Dislike: The whole point of the net is to keep the bugs out. On the top corners, there is a big gap (if you consider the size of the bugs) where the 4 posts hold the roof. If that’s the way they designed it it’s ok, but at least put a velcro or something in there so people can really keep the bugs out. ... show more

Used this as our dining area on a recent camping trip. Set up is so easy and the size is perfect for us. We wanted something that would keep insects away and this does a good job for that. It also provides a nice shade area. Being able to keep the flaps down allows for any breeze to cool things down. Very happy with this purchase! It's exactly as pictured and went up fairly quickly. Everything you need was included - even stakes to hold it down in the wind. I really like how the sides can be mesh or removed. We used this for a day at the shooting range, so it was primarily a spot for shade for us.
