This is engine support bar is as solid as they come! I’ve used this thing to change an oil pan gasket on a 3.0L V6 and also to change motor mounts out on 2013 KIA Optima. Very easy to use and does come with some chains but you may have to make some chains from hardware store.

First used today. Does the job. To me this does not seem light duty, nor heavy duty, but pretty much status quo as automotive accessories go. Found myself nodding up and down saying yeah that should do it. There is a round washer full of bearings underneath the top clamps. I put a ton of grease and vaseline on the threads to reduce friction, especially since the threads catch on themselves a lot and are kind of rough. There is no hook or attachment included to connect chain to engine so I picked up a 3/8" Haulmaster quicklink rated at 600 lbs and custom ground/drilled a steel bracket to bolt to an engine attachment point. ... show more

This soild built, one of my spindle heads was burred and spent about an hour fixing that. Was missing another spindle head, but after two weeks I gave up on their customer service. Needed to drop the lower sub frame assembly to swap out upper oil pan. It held up the engine great, with no concerns during the process. The chains it comes with were too short for my needs (wanted to loop under engine mounts), so I had to use some other chains. Be sides that, great. Also used additional chains up top to ensure the bar did not shift forward or back. My vehicle did not have a lot of flat space up top to plant the legs and stabilize the bar, so I wanted to sure it up some more. ... show more

Purchased this product about two months ago over three months ago knew I was gonna need it but didn’t need it till now. There’s no one to get a hold of there’s no one to contact. Don’t waste your money. It was my fault for not unpacking it and putting it together when I got it, but had a lot going on at the time always had, good things to say about products I purchased on Amazon, but this is ridiculous. What a waste of my money. I have no idea what to do about it unless I take it to a machine shop around here and have a machine these parts and the rubber blocks what are they for? I saw my husband use this on his BMW and it worked so well and he felt secure and watching him go under the car and that engine, I too felt that he would be safe. He had used this for 10 days and it worked as advertised. I am writing this review for him as he uses my account to buy things for himself which works well for me and since I saw him for over a week work on his car.
