  • Good company to deal with.
The hoist was defective when assembled. I contacted them and they said they would replace it and not have to send the defected one back. I received the replacement today. I am well pleased with their quick response. JH

  • Disappointed
The media could not be loaded. I don't usually do these reviews. But, after the headache I've had to endure, I felt compelled to do so. If you're going to buy this hoist, you may need two of them to get one that works properly. The first hoistbi received had something wrong with it. The leg on one side had so much slop in it that the hoist would tip whe you applied weight to it. (As seen in the video). Something was off in the fabrication of the hoist. After several emails with pics and videos sent to Vevor, they finally agreed to send me another hoist. While assembling the second hoist, I found another factory flaw. The hinge point for the beam is welded on crooked. So the beam extends out at an angle. Not straight out. So, I took the beam off of the first hoist and swapped it onto the second. So, I took the parts of two hoists to get one that actually worked. The hardware that comes with the kit is about what you would expect from China. It's soft. The threads on the bolts deform easily. They're single use. If you have to remove a bolt, you'll probably end up replacing it. You get what you pay for. The quality control or attention to detail is seriously lacking. ... show more

  • Lifted ~2800lbs, Didn't roll easy. Align your expectations with price.
Background: I have an ever growing collection of rusty scrap iron in my garage that I shift around from time to time just for funsies. I purchased this to specifically move one particular hunk of junk, a 1905 Leblond Universal Horizontal Mill. The catalog suggests the shipping weight is around 2800 pounds. I have purchased other Vevor branded products. I was pleasantly surprised by the dividing head. This lift meets expectations for price. It hearkens back to earlier eastern imports with fast and loose qc. Good: 0) Aligns well with price 1) Got the job done 2) Cost a bit less than comparable models available locally in late 23 3) Assembly wasn't too challenging 4) Folds up as desired 5) Rolls well unloaded Bad: 0) Align expectations with price. This thing is value engineered down to the labor, welds, and bolts. 1) Welds are shoddy, look like they were done by feel and as quickly as possible 2) Nothing is square or plumb 3) Casters are too weak. 4) Due to #1-3, weak casters were loaded unevenly so I had to use a pry bar to compel rolling under load. 5) Due to #2 load wasn't as stable as I would like. All things said, I would by again. I would only recommend for occasional use to a handy person who is going to use it a jumping off point for modification. ... show more

  • Sturdy construction
It wasn’t difficult to assemble because all of the hardware fit perfectly. The instruction instructions were a little bit hard to read because all of the hardware was listed in sentence form instead of a vertical list, but I managed to get through it. The only operation instructions are on the jack cylinder, turn the screw to the right to raise it and turn it to the left to lower it, pretty simple stuff. It is made quite well and has a higher lifting capacity then I will need, but it is sturdy. The folding feature is a real plus because it only requires about a 24” x 24” area when folded with the boom fully retracted. ... show more

  • For the price it’s pretty good.
Pulled a jeep straight 6. And a small V6. Wheels stick when under load and make it difficult to maneuver.

  • Not worth the money!!!
Very low quality, paint job is horrible, already peeling off. The weld jobs are horrible, I will not be surprised if the welds crack. The nut bolt used for assembling are low quality. When you go to put it away for storage the legs that come up if you take it too far, they hit the support bracket and you can bend them. Just overall very low quality, not worth the money. ... show more

  • Ok, but only if you have no other option!!!!
the engine hoist boom is very short and only suitable for FWD vehicles but will lift a BBC. the engine stand can support the weight but I am totally scared of it same with the hoist the bolt/hardware must be some type of aluminum alloy very very VERY SOFT basic hand tools will strip them so don't you dare use an impact!!! lastly you will need to remove the 5th caster from the stand or it will just rest on the not he forward legs and with you're dealing with a 500lb short block its not a good feeling. the welds are extremely poor I will end up keeping the stand and fixing all of the manufacturer defects starting with American made hardware grade 8 or better then stripping this crappy paint off and checking for cracks in the metal then rewelding the entire stand. for the folding portion I will weld up that hole and reposition it to allow the 5th caster to clear the ground when the leg is down. and new casters all around. in short do not waste your time or money if you are dealing with a cast iron v8. should be fine with smaller engines and all aluminum engines...... should be....... if you like living on the edge. ... show more

  • Great Cherry Picker
The Item was as described, rec'd promptly, very well packed, in new condition, and it looks like it will be everything I had hoped for. It took me awhile to assemble it because the directions are a bit vague. There should be an introductory note that there are six wheels in two, slightly different sizes, and the middle two wheels will be smaller than the end wheels. There are also many different sizes of bolts, nuts and washers, all packed loosely together in one plastic bag. If they would bubble-wrap and identify the different groups of bolts, accompanying washers and nuts separately, with their corresponding item numbers, it would make the assembly process much easier. I do suggest matching, grouping and counting all of the bolts, washers and nuts, before starting the assembly. Knowing how many of a particular size fastener you have, helps figure out which ones the assembly directions are referring to. ... show more
