This ice cream maker is awesome... once you figure out how to use it. The instructions are trash. For example, they give you food grade lube, but they don't tell you where to apply it. I had to watch ice cream machine tutorials from other brands to figure out where to apply it on this machine. The buttons for precool and puff are ambiguous and don't indicate if it's on or off (it just glows/doesn't glow and the manual doesn't explain further). Cleaning is very easy (once you get the hang of it) and takes me under 10 minutes once the ice cream has melted. The ice cream tastes great and has good texture. This machine works well and has served ice cream to 20-30 people, all day, about 10 times this summer. It's also pretty robust; I've kept it outside all summer under a covered patio and have stored it in a metal cabinet with a dessicant when not in use (if you put it away cold, there will be condensation on thr interior of the machine). I would definitely buy this again. I'm bummed that they don't sell spare parts. The planned obsolescence is super annoying. I would buy this again though because it has worked out to under $100/party and there's no way a rental would be this cheap. ... show more

We bought this ice cream machine on May 6, 2024 and did not receive it until mid July 2024. After about a month and 1/2 it started leaking oil into the ice cream. We did everything VEVOR told us to do to take care of the problem, but it still leaked oil. (You can only communicate with them via chat or email.) When looking for the oil leak we discovered that there were burnt spots where the wires connected. VEVOR wouldn't even respond to me regarding the burnt areas in the pictures I sent. They have sent us two reducers and expected us to replace them, which would void our insurance policy we purchased on it that doesn't kick in until the warranty through VEVOR expires in May 2025. I would NEVER RECOMMEND ANY ITEM THIS COMPANY MAKES. One star is too much for this company. ... show more

The ice cream machine makes great ice cream, but if you want more than 5 cones or more in less than 15-20 minutes this machine is not your best choice. After making 5 small cones for my grandkids I had to wait for 15-20 minutes to make another 5 cones. Not worth the wait.

After ordering two other ice cream machine that I received with defects. I decided to change the brand to this one. First time right everything worked. Does a great job with the mixes. If you make your own soft serve from scratch make sure you use guar gum so you don't get the ice crystals.

The ice cream machine I bought would not even cool the ice cream slurry when it arrived. I contacted Vevor's web site for customer support and found a Chat line. During the chat they asked for order info and required me to send a video and pictures of the issue. After that they send in the complaint somewhere and you get an email response. In that response you are told that a technician will contact you in 1 - 3 days ! That did not happen. I could reply to the emails and ask questions, and I only received robo responses. I never received a response from a technician so I returned the machine. I later bought another one (this time through Home Depot) and received the ice cream machine with compressor oil leaking out of it, and a plastic part broken inside the housing. The same horrible customer support occurred. When initially chatting with Vevor, I asked them to expedite the support, and they agreed to do that. Then came the auto emails informing me I would get a response from a technician in 1 - 3 days. I returned the second machine and never bought another one. ... show more
