My GSD pup was showing signs of anxiety when I put him in the crate before I left for work. He would get so worked up he'd pee as soon as he got in there. This started after we finally found a home for his sister and they no longer shared a crate and she was gone. He would start crying and pee every where as soon as I got to the door across the room. I started him on these (one a day an hour before I left to start) and I saw a difference. He no longer pees or crys when I leave and the crate is now clean when I get home, he was peeing and pooping in it to prior to this but I just thought he was having problems with understanding the concept of not going in the crate, turns out that was all anxiety as well. I may need to up it to two now as he has reached 50 pounds and 5 months now and he does start crying a bit when I put him in now. It doesn't make him drowsy, at least not noticeably but it does seem to help with the anxiety. I plan to use it on the fourth since my neighborhood gets loud that night with fireworks. I bought these because the original pill pockets are twice the price in stores and being our senior girl needs 4 pill pockets a day I was looking for something more affordable. I have just re ordered these cause we ran out and we love them so much. They are perfect consistency and our old girl eats them with no issues at all, she is a Doberman mix. I will say they are a pretty good size, we have a small breed as well and idk how he would do with them if he had to use them. Maybe if it was a smaller pill you could cut them in half and use them that way. Also our senior dog is allergic to chicken, pork and beef but these are such a small portion of her diet she doesn’t have any flare ups with these. Overall these are a great and affordable alternative to the original pill pockets. I’ve never done a subscribe and save before but I’m about to set it up for these they’re that good and totally worth it! ... show more

I was skeptical because of all the negative reviews, but because they have no wheat, corn, soy or barley, I gave them a try. The package I received was fresh and the treats soft & malleable. Because our toy poodle only takes a very small antibiotic at present, I cut several in half with a table knife, insert the pill in the cavity and pinch both sides closed. Easy peasy! Sophie sits for her treat and gobbles it right up, then stares at me for another. Getting a pill in her has never been this easy, even with the originals from Greenies or even peanut butter. Soph is a 13-15 year old rescue, has a sensitive tummy and several missing teeth, but she has no problems or adverse effects with these. She loves them; pill time is easy. They are for bigger dogs, and are tougher to chew than i expected. my dog has to chew it so much, he finds the pill. I need super soft ones so he just pretty much swallows it whole, but if you got a big dog that doesn't chew, they might work great

I bought these so I could give my beagle pills. I don’t know if he didn’t like or that it was a lil too big for him. I have only tried it once but I will try again in the future as he gets bigger & older
