No age limit! In 8 years I will be 50! (Shhh)!! My first real canopy. Like the material. Very soft for tulle. I only open the sides up during the day. One photo from a normal, made my bed day, and one photo from a day I thought I was going to crawl back into bed. I just moved. Finally got most of the elements into place. Starting to feel like my room! I wanted transparent material. If someone is in my room, while I'm in bed, I want to be able to see them. I think opaque canopies are creepy and a liability. This has the right about of visibility, without feeling like there isn't anything there. Definitely feels like a world of it's own. Feels so good to be sleeping within a canopied bed again. It's very comforting, with a touch of magic and mystery! Chose grey because according to feng shui, my room is in a metal direction. Also thought black would look too depressing and I'm just not a white stuff person. Grey/lavender would have been nice too, but that isn't an option yet! I use clothes pins to arrange the canopy (instead of the ribbons), like I used to years ago. Simple, I like it better. My bed is a place I love to linger and I look forward to returning to. Without the canopy it would feel bare, cold, harsh and exposed. Canopies are better for keeping your energy contained while you sleep. This one has fabric across the top too, not just curtains around. 好风水!!! (Good feng shui)! There was a hole in the first one. The company had a new one shipped as soon as my return posted. Replacement arrived promptly and in great condition. First one had little length/width tags at the top. The second one didn't. Just grabbed a tape measurer to confirm the sides before draping it over the poles. Very easy to set up. *Does not come with the butterfly shawl hanging at the foot of the bed. Tried to order more, but apparently the (other) company doesn't still sell them. **the layers are layered! There is no direct way out. Can be disorienting. I keep a clothespin at the top, left and right of my access point, in case I need to get out of bed in a hurry, say, if the house was on fire. Not pinning it wide open, but enough that I can find my way out fast if there was an emergency. Definitely recommend doing this if the bed is for children. Can always just pick the fabric up and go underneath, but don't always think clearly in an emergency. Firefighter's daughter. Probably just being silly. Don't have photos of the canopy down, in sleeping position. Will have to remember to take some in the morning. When I remember.. Overall, love it. Great quality, responsive company. I set up the frame and netting solo. First I set up the frame (from another seller) which had to be connected at the corner joints while standing on the bed. By the time I put the mosquito net over it, I was pretty nauseous from “motion sickness”. It took only about 30 minutes to set up the frame. But the double layer netting arrived in a bundle, with zero guidance or labels, as to which was inside or outside, and took over an hour. There are 4 satin ties at the corners and on the other side there are 8 net ties. After struggling to get the netting over the frame I realized the net ties attach to the horizontal poles and have to be on the inside, and the satin ribbons on the other side must be for decoration only because you can’t tie them to the poles. As luck would have it, I started with the satin corner ties on the inside and had to turn the yards and yards of netting to the other side, again walking around on top of the bed. However the finished assemblage is beautiful. Just like the sale photos. And because there is a layer of shorter panels of netting and a layer of fuller length panels, with several satin ties (provided unattached), there are several options for how you arrange them. Very nice canopy however I ordered the twin and it did run a tad bit bigger than I’d hoped. I have a twin canopy bed as you can see and ordered the twin size. I did install it by myself. My arms did hurt after a while cause I had to unscrew the bulb to fit it in the way I wanted while holding the canopy in place. My suggestion would be find the tag, the corner is right next to it, where the solid ties are. Overall it wasn’t a terrible installation, quite simple for me at least. You can easily tell the long side from the short side. I made a small hole at the top so the bulb can be on top of the canopy rather than under it. I do wish it has 3 layers rather than two but I have other chiffon I want to add to it to give it a more layered look. I will definitely buy other colors for whenever I want to change the look. ... show more

The canopy is so beautiful and doesn't make me feel claustrophobic! You can't actually SEE the top of the canopy so it looks like it's floating or something. It's beautiful and was so easy to attach to my frame! Beware if you have cats. They love it too. They like to climb it. 😅

Came with some small stains and tears but not terribly noticeable. Overall, it looks very majestic. Would recommend to anyone as long as small imperfections are not a deal breaker. Also, the color is off... its more a rose color than a pastel pink as pictured.

The media could not be loaded. My ceilings are about 10ft high … so the length of the curtains were maybe 6 inches below the top of the bed. Which worked perfectly. Tacking it up to the ceiling was a little difficult- make sure not to pick a drill size that is too big. I used one they was smaller than the anchors and still had one anchor able to turn in the drywall as I was trying to twist the hook in. I used an even smaller drill bit after that, it was harder to hammer the anchor in, but you really need that snug fit for drywalled ceilings. I also used more hooks than provided to help the top from sagging too much between corners. (Even tho I did make sure to pull the material to prevent as much sagging as possible- pulling it anymore would have been bad for the fabric, ties and hooks.) I used thin wire and weaved it through the material to attach. Final results are great. Material is nice and came with all the components.
