  • This boat will last.
Bought my tan pontooned 6T in 2010 for $399. Used it hundreds of times since then on a 34 acre local lake, with zero issues. That size lake is perfect to row around this little boat. The boat is 100% stable in waves up to where you need to get off the water. Boat has held up great no problems at all. I have replaced the pontoon straps a couple tomes from sun wear. I replaced the plastic oarlock bushings with bronze. I recovered the seat a few years ago due to sun exposure it is stored outside. I also drilled a hole in each oar and installed a 1/4" through bolt to 'lock in' the oar position I like best. Also I filled the tubes with 2lb/cu ft. expanding foam so there is 'zero' chance the pontoons could fill with water or deflect from waves heat etc. That did up the weight of the boat 16 lbs so it's a load to get in and out of truck bed. 'NO Way' this boat is worth ~$1400 imo. But if you buy it you will like it. ... show more

  • Nothing beats a hard shell pontoon!!
I upgraded to a pontoon from my large float tube, because I wanted more comfort, height, & maneuverability, for bass & trout fishing. Talked with countless pals & researched a dozen pontoon rigs. Best choice was Venture Outdoors model VOModular (hands-down). I’ve had it nearly a year and I use it in Arizona’s high mountain lakes. It’s lightweight, modular, & easier to haul, set up, and store- than the best inflatables. Material, fit, and workmanship are high quality. Comfortable seat, lots of EZ storage options. Ability to customize rear flat area for gear, motor, etc. I use the flat pontoon tops to organize gear, rod-holder, fish-finder, etc. Could not be more pleased! My weight plus weight of gear is well under the 250lb limit of my 6’ model. I store and haul it in 3 pieces in my mid-size SUV. If more weight capacity is needed, the 8’ model would be a better choice. ... show more
