  • Absolute gaming perfection!
Let me start of this customer review by saying I have always built my own PCs, but was soldiering along with my old Nvidia 1080 machine after over 5 years of use. Performance was acceptable with most games, but I began wanting to up the settings on newer games. I spent the last year researching Mobo's, CPU's and GPU's...and began to get a bit stressed out over finding the right parts amid the GPU shortage madness. So I started looking around for "pre-builts". This had some hurdles of its own, and I was ready to just get an Alienware and pray for the best. Then I stumbled on this company Velzstorm, and did my research on them. I was going to purchase directly through their website, but had a large credit on Amazon and decided to grab the best iteration they had to offer here. The tracking said it would arrive in a week, but it arrived even more quickly. I ordered on a Friday and it got here the next Tuesday. Off to a great start! The box it comes in is huge, and the case on my model was a Corsair 5000D, which with the 4090 inside and all the packaging was quite heavy. Velzstorm packages it extremely well by the way, and had Styrofoam and bubble wrap in all the right places. Before I turned it on I had some questions about the correct way to install SSD and NVmE in the case. I called their customer service and they almost immediately answered, were obviously located here in the US, and were EXTREMELY helpful. If I was doubting my large purchase prior to this phone call, I wasn't after the agent immediately pinpointed what I was trying to ask and even gave me some pointers on placing the power pins into the 4090, which he said I needed to make sure were completely seated. Awesome! I stuck three SSD and two NVME into the case and installed them very easily, and upon booting up was greeted with a welcome screen in seconds. Everything was extremely fast and leaps and bounds quicker than my 5 year old 1080 system. I loaded it up with my games and was stunned that I could max every single one of my games out at 4K, max settings. Despite the controversy of the 4090 release, it is worth every penny if you want to sell one of your kidneys to get one. The only game that gives this beast pause is Cyberpunk on max settings and with Ray Tracing. Instead of 144 screen refresh rate, it can get up to about 80 FPS. That's still good enough for me, and the difference in games is stunning. I'm playing Dead Space currently and at 4k, ultra settings you feel that the next generation of gaming is finally here. I have that game on Xbox Series X as well, and you can see a huge difference between the two. So do I recommend this particular PC? The answer is a resounding yes. I equally recommend Velzstorm, and as a huge gamer they have scored me as their customer for life. Amazing build quality, customer service and top-notch components: I would imagine if they can do a "top of the line" build like this one right, they can do pretty much any build right. ... show more

  • Amazing build quality and blazingly fast
Arrived on time. Very well packed! Not only was the box heavy duty with foam protection, it even had foam inserts inside of the computer itself to protect everything. If I had to build the system myself, this was exactly how I would have done it. Powered up with zero issues and everything checked out. • Constantly crashing day 1
Size: 64GB RAM|1TB SSD+3TB HDD|Win10H Style: 4090 Color: White
At this point I have lost count how many times in the last hour this computer has just randomly crashed on me. I think I'm at 7 times now? Maybe 8. I did noticed that my NVIDIA graphics drivers were out of date so I got those set up now. I'm going to reach out to support on Monday to see if there's any further diagnostics that can be fixed. On a positive note, this is a blazingly fast computer and boot up is a blink of an eye. Update. As soon as I got the newest Nvidia drivers installed things stabilized and hasn't crashed since. Upgraded to 2 stars. You'd think they would turn this on before they sent it out. ... show more

  • Solid Machine that does what is says
I bought the i9 + 3090 24GB GPU and it works as expected. The machine is fast and the lights are fun. The onboard HDMI and DisplayPort did not work for me but the video card worked. To my surprise, it’s pretty quiet but I have not pushed it yet. I’m not a gamer, I bought this to play with AI/ML experiments and support my new VR hobby ... show more

  • Great PC
I had a pretty good system already which included a 9900k, 32 GB RAM and an RTX 3080Ti. But being an avid Flight simulator enthusiast I wanted to bring my CPU/Motherboard up to today's standards. I have not bought a pre-built computer in more than 15 years but have been building and upgrading myself. But I must admit, I am very bad at cable management. When I saw this system on Amazon, it looked really good, great cable management and all the features I was looking for (12900k, 64 GB ram and an RTX 3090). The operating system on my old system was on a HDD drive and never bothered to take the time to transfer it to my SSDs, but in this new system it is on the N.2 SSD so booting is just a matter of seconds. I have 100s of tabs open in the background on google chrome and the 64 GB RAM really helps. The RTX 3090, although not a real boost from my RTX 3080Ti still gives me more VRAM so I guess that's a plus. I can run MSFS 2020 now with almost maxed settings on a 34 inch ultrawide in 4k with a lot of addons and get no fewer than 40 FPS anywhere at any airport. By far the best system I have ever bought. I highly recommend it. The cable management and overall look of the system is pretty good (which is what drew me into buying a pre-built). Other simulators like F1 2021, Asseto Corsa Competizione, Rfactor 2, Automobilista 2 and even Arma 3 are absolutely no match for this machine even in 4k. Only con: Maybe there is something that I missed, but I wanted to add 3 SSDs to bring my total storage to 16 TB, but no matter what I did the SSDs would be recognized but disappear after maybe half an hour. I tried everything in the settings, nothing worked. I had to turn off the computer, unplug them, then reboot, then they would be detected, I would start installing stuff but again after an hour or more they would just disappear again. I spent two days trying to figure it out, but nothing worked. I resorted to try and plug the additional 2 SSDs in chain to the one power cable where the original 2TB HDD. That has been working since and my SSDs no longer disappear. So I don't know if it means the other power connectors on the PSU are dead or if I needed to do something, but not a big deal as long as this works. Unfortunately It means I am limited to my 16 TB. ... show more
