Beware long-neckers this is not the product for you. It is super comfortable and helps to prevent neck wrinkles while giving slight cervical traction but if you have a longer neck, it won't do anything for you. Your majestic neck will simply float over top the neck divot and circumvent the intended purpose. I need a neck brace specifically for sleeping. The cervical support pillow I've been using in bed for years is no longer enough for me. I bought this and another brand of soft foam braces, both of which say they're for a neck height of 3.3 inches (the other gives a range of 3-3.5"). This one is the same height as the other in the front but over half an inch taller on the sides and back. Even though this one is softer, it's just not for me because of the height issue. I just could not get comfortable wearing it; it was too distracting to let me even think about falling asleep. Because it's soft and seems to be really well made I'm reluctant to rate it lower than four stars, but since I'm unable to use it I can't give it five. ... show more

I like this "brace" but wouldn't actually use it as a brace. It has no stiffness to it. Yet the softness provides some gentle support and padding such that if you are sleeping, or doze off as a passenger in a car, it keeps your neck from falling to your shoulder so you don't get a crick in your neck. It has a very "pillowy" soft foam, and by tightening it around your neck, your neck only falls about halfway to your shoulder. If you are looking for true "support", this isn't the one for you, but if you want some gentle, soft padding around your neck while you watch TV or you are napping in the car, this is pretty nice. I was quite surprised at how thorough this product’s listing was. It came with exactly what was described (a soft cover, carrying case, instruction booklet, and measuring tape). Photos are always quicker to read (yes, I mean read) and they put the measurements in the photos instead of all the way down on the page. A size Medium fits me well (150 lbs, American/US Size 2-4) and the ergonomic design truly allows me to rest my shoulders. I bought this cervical collar to sleep in at night as I tend to scrunch my neck up in my sleep. Just walking around with it on while cleaning/doing errands I feel a difference. The support is just what it says—“comfort.” I believe this is also synonymous with mild support, as it is not rigid or stiff. The support is strong enough to relax tired neck muscles. Having different sizes available leads this product to fit better than your usual/generic collar. I compared it to one I previously bought and I honestly like this one a good bit better. You know a brace works well when it helps so much that you are able to rest, take it off, and still feel the relief there. ... show more
