We really like this dehumidifier! It is quiet, does a great job of pulling water, and has a very manageable and easy to clean water bucket - which is unlike other dehumidifiers we've had in the past. Velgoo also doubled the warranty to two years when we registered the unit, and while our first DryTank unit failed after about a year, the company stood behind their product. I worked with Mina on their customer support team who was very helpful and promptly sent us a replacement unit. The replacement unit is working perfectly. We like this dehumidifier. Our basement is very humid and this unit keeps it dry and pleasant. We have several properties and we have owned many different dehumidifiers. This unit was easy to set up and turn on. It is quiet compared to others we have owned. There is an automatic feature which shuts off the appliance when a certain low humidity percent is set. We have it sitting on a couple of blocks on the floor. I was initially concerned that vibration might cause it to roll off, but that has not happened as there is little or no vibration. ... show more

I really like this unit. It is quiet and gets the job done at keeping our humidity level down. It’s very easy to dump the water and keep clean. I had this unit for 7 months when it stopped working. I emailed into their customer support and got an email right back and they sent me a new one. Amazing customer service and they stand by their product. ... show more

Plugged in July 28, and it worked great. Until the last week or so. Today is Oct. 4 and it is running but humidity level won't go below 57% and there is virtually no water in tank. I usually read and believe the bad reviews first. Don't know why I didn't this time, other than I had a lot going on, needed a dehumidifier and this one seemed to be the perfect one. I liked the size and weight. It was easy for me to carry to basement. I liked the smaller water tank, because it wasn't heavy when full. It was easy to empty. And it was quiet. But lasting only 2 months is totally unacceptable. I don't appreciate spending 250+ for 2 months of operation. I'm tired of getting ripped off every time I turn around... I have it unobstructed, away from a wall. The filter is not dirty. It's running...just not sensing the humidity and removing any from the room. The seller emailed me after I ordered and said to contact them if I had any problems. I'm going to contact them later today. Will report back on my results. But I'm not holding my breath for an easy resolution, because sadly that just isn't how life works anymore.... ----------- UPDATE I was unable to contact the seller, but I contacted Vellgoo at the email address in their instruction manual. They guarantee an answer within 12 hours, which is actually true. Mina is great. After a couple emails and a test of machine, they are sending me a new machine at no cost! I am so impressed, and my faith in humanity has been restored!!! I added 3 more stars, from 1 to 4, basically for the stellar customer service. Will update further if I receive the replacement and it works. Mina gets 5 stars!! UPDATE #2: They sent me a new dehumidifier, as Mina promised. It worked, but there was a problem with the float in the tank and it would not shut off when the tank was full. I had a few frustrating water wipe ups in basement. I contacted Mina and they promptly sent me a new water tank. I'm hopeful the machine will keep running and will shut off when the water tank is full. I've got to say that Mina's customer service is top notch. Always answers emails, and checks back to make sure things are going well, etc. Well done, Mina! Listen up, Vellgoo, Mina needs a raise!!! She is great. I will report back if there are any more issues, but I'm happy so far. One thing I just love, is that this dehumidifier is so quiet!! I just hope it stays working. ... show more

It came securely packaged. It was easy to set up. After a 24hr wait due to manufacturer's instructions, the unit has been functioning flawlessly. It removes as much moisture as our older much larger dehumidifier. We have it in our basement and the comfort setting keeps the humidity at a steady 45-50% range. The long tube included fit the water discharge outlet snuggly. We have moved it twice to dry up water from a leaky washing machine. The water drawer holds a lot and is great for times when the hose is not convenient. It rolls smoothly, even on low pile carpet. It seems durable and appreciate it's energy efficiency. ... show more

It's interesting as we have the same comments as one customer as our issue is exactly like theirs who just recently posted a review Oct 30, 2024. We too really like this dehumidifier! It is quiet, does a great job of pulling water, and has a very manageable and easy to clean water bucket - which is unlike other dehumidifiers we've had in the past. We didn't purchase the extra warranty but our dehumidifier went out a couple of months before reaching a full year however, Velgoo (Ms. Mina) was awesome to work with to make this issue right and stood behind their product. We worked with Ms. Mina from their customer support team who was very helpful and promptly sent us a replacement unit. In less than a week we had our new replacement unit and will install after the 24hr period in an upright position. We're hoping this new unit lasts for years because in terms of performance, quietness and ease of use, the DryTank is the best dehumidifier we've ever had. Ms. Mina, thank you, thank yoU, THANK YOU for your willingness and great customer service to make this issue right.
