The lock itself works great. Looks good and the handles are very nice. The app and set up is pretty simple. The only drawback is that when autolock is on the deadbolt pops out even when the door is open. So every time we close the door we have to unlock the door before closing it. This can be annoying when you are leaving with full hands and you can’t just pull the door closed. You have to remember to unlock the door before otherwise you can’t close the door. I had an easy time installing and then I added the app on my phone. I decided not to add it to Alexa as the app is enough. I can use my fingerprint a fob, a key, a code. So many choices. Nowhere in the description does it say I have to purchase something additional. So I purchased the gateway and set it up. Got almost everything working. The fingerprint pad doesn't work. Company says they will send a replacement. Sent my information and have yet to hear back from anyone. Also, I cannot unlock remotely. I have to be close to the door and on Bluetooth to unlock via the app despite having purchased the gateway. Save yourself the time, energy, and frustration and purchase another brand. I was living in the past with my old front door lock and keys. This is about the latest thing on the market today. You can use your key, the old way, or you can set a four digit number or you can just use your finger print to open the door. I liked the finger print method. I set it up annd it works so well. After coming in from outside and once inside and you close the door, it will lock itself in case you forget. All this comes with an app that tells you how to do all the set ups.
