  • Simple and stylish, great for a teenage boy
I love the red color, and it is so dead simple to use for a simple person. This is not for a culinary artist, because there are basically only 3 controls. It heats up ramen water great in a small stainless steel pot (look mom, no microwave!) I bought this as an extra for when we are making a big meal and want to keep things warm. On the lowest setting, this thing keeps nacho cheese warm like a champ. Any dip, really. That's a tricky thing in itself, because depending on the dip, you can scorch the bottom. I've also let my teenagers use it on trips when they are going camping, or on holiday. It's very compact and travels well. It cleans up super easy too. ... show more

  • Handles are handy
What a beautiful piece of kitchen equipment. The red color is fun. The handles are the very best part. I’ve used electric cooktops before. You cannot touch or move them until they cool down. So I view this as a safety feature. I haven’t figured out a “conversion” method yet. I am accustomed to low, med, high, etc. for cooking levels and temperatures. The dial on this cooktop is all numerical, so it was a bit trial and error. 1st experiment, SOUP level HI 1800: I was making spaghetti and used this cook top to boil the pasta. The water took 8 minutes to come to a full boil. Which is quicker than what my range can do. Pasta came out fine. Used a heavy stainless steel pot. 2nd experiment, BBQ level HI 1600: Actually, this night I was cooking soup, but wanted to try another setting. On high, it took 10 minutes to brown a pound of ground beef. After all other ingredients were added, and the pot came to a boil, I turned it down to simmer. This is the most responsive electric cooktop I have ever used. The boiling immediately stopped when I turned it down to 200. I turned it up to 800 with good results for keeping it at a simmer. Incidentally, I was using a 10” pan on the 8” burner and had no issues. Pan was Caphalon. 3rd experiment, FRIED level HI 1800: (Yet to be mastered) I started with a little olive oil in an 8” Caphalon skillet. It got hot fast. I seared one side of a small chicken breast, approx. 1-1/2 thick. After a minute, I flipped the breast and turned down to 1000. Four minutes later, I flipped again and turned down to 200. I covered it and let it cook at 200 another 3-4 minutes. Result – I still had pink inside of the chicken. Based on this time and the previous time, it is likely that 200 is a "keep warm" setting. ... show more

  • Cooking with mama in minutes!
I recently received the VBGK Electric Cooktop and I am extremely satisfied. This cooktop has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and convenience. This 1800W power of this cooktop is impressive. It heats up quickly and evenly, allowing me to cook my meals in a timely manner. The 9 power levels are also a great feature as they give me the flexibility to adjust the heat according to my cooking needs. This cookware is a convenient addition, it allows me to set a timer for my cooking and forget about it, as the cooktop automatically shuts off once the timer is done. This feature gives me peace of mind and prevents any accidental burning or overcooking. I also appreciate the dual control options of this cooktop. The touch control is easy to use and very responsive, while the knob control gives me a more traditional cooking experience.Another great aspect of this cooktop is its portability. It is lightweight and compact, making it easy to move around and store when not in use. I highly recommend the VBGK Electric Cooktop. It is a high-quality and versatile appliance that delivers excellent cooking results. Whether you are a professional chef or a home cook, this cooktop will definitely enhance your cooking experience. ... show more

  • Take really long time
The speed of heating up is kinda slow. Tried to use it for hot pot. I ended up to heat my pot with my gas stove then put it on there to use. What’s the point… lol

  • Nice to look at but took a long time to heat.
It’s always good to have an extra burner for the holidays so I thought this would come in handy. It was very easy to set up and looks so pretty on the counter, but it took forever to heat up my little pot of soup.

  • Love the ability to cook wherever I wish!
Let's start on performance. The lowest level which says 200 watts was actually 400 according to my bluetti ac180. This also has a strange auto shut off. I sett @ 200 watts after about 30-45 minutes it increases temp to 600 then shuts off. Very strange but at least it shuts off. I even deep fried which I do not recommend lol. It was delicious but grease spattered and popped everywhere. Plus it takes forever to get the grease taste out of the pot so you will taste grease for many meals till it goes away. None of this is the stoves fault. It performed exactly as I hoped. Really good feet too. A lot of portable stoves the feet pop off easy not this guy. I feel this is priced perfectly if it breaks I will update so far not one issue! ... show more

  • Nice Cooktop but NOT Induction
I love my induction cooktop and use it all the time. When I saw this cooktop advertised as an induction one, I was excited to try it out. However, I quickly realized that it wasn't actually induction, as it heated up non-magnetic cookware just fine. This was disappointing, as I specifically wanted an induction cooktop. I tested the cooktop with water, and it took about 7 minutes to boil on the highest setting, while my induction cooktop took only 5 minutes to bring water to a boil. The main difference I noticed was that the cookware heated up on my induction cooktop, while the cooktop itself got hot on this one. Despite the mislabeling, I think this electric cooktop is still great. It's portable, easy to move around with its handles, and the ceramic top is easy to clean. I can see myself using it for camping, holidays when I need an extra burner. However, if you're specifically looking for an induction cooktop, this isn't it. ... show more
