    • Reliable and Accurate Ketone/Acetone Breathalyzer
I have been keto on and off for nearly 2 years and had started using a ketone blood meter early on in my journey. I am familiar with how my diet impacts the level of ketones my body produces and understand how to manipulate my metabolism to maximize fat burning. The breathalyzer I purchased is very accurate and has been consistent with my results from blood ketone testing. I use the Keto mojo glucose and ketone blood meter. Pros: Reliable. Testing twice in a row provided the same or similar result. Testing compared to blood meter provided a similar result. Readings of .5-1.0 mg/dL On blood meter was equivalent to 5-10 on the breathalyzer. I’ll attach images if it allows. Comes with a nice carrying pouch and extra attachments for the breathalyzer. It’s cheaper in the long run. You get 300-320 uses with the first purchase and for every replacement, 300-320 when you send it in for $30+shipping. No blood, no urine, just breath, cleaner, preferable way of testing ketone levels. Stores data in the app for you to keep track of your readings and you can take notes and upload photos with your results. It helps to remember what diet or activities promoted each respective reading. Cons: Testing with this is not as quick as blood testing. I often have to do what’s called a self-diagnostic which essentially is a pre-test before the actual testing. I have to blow into it and it takes approximately 25-30secs and then the actually test is about 15-20secs. Testing requires you to download the KetoScan app. All readings are stored in the KetoScan app using a Bluetooth connection. KetoScan is not compatible with the Fitbit App which is what I use to track and manage weight and other health information. This is probably the most disappointing. I hope more features for the app roll out overtime. You have to manually update your weight and body fat percentage for an accurate reading. You have to ship in your meter to calibrate it to get what you might consider a “refill” of breath testing at 300-320 test for $30. Cheaper but inconvenient to have to go without testing for the interim. You have to pay to ship the product back and they will pay to return the product back to you. ... show more

    • Great Product, Great results
Compared this product to our keto mojo, and the numbers came out comparable. Measuring blood vs breath has two separate scales but the app was able to identify the accurate level of ketosis. I was in, the project was easy to use and didn’t require a blood sample or very expensive strips. There is an initial investment but in the long run it will be cheaper than the blood strips. Being able to sync independently with our phones was also a nice feature as I can only sync my readings when sharing the device. Overall great product and highly recommended. ... show more

Other than the complaint this will require recalibration after 300 uses, the operation is smooth and intuitive. I cannot possibly know if it’s ketone measurements are accurate or not but I’ll just assume they are. The unit works will and let’s you know your ketone level as promised.

    • Consistent low readings although eating in a calorie deficit and maintaining a keto diet - LEMON
So i sincerely think that i purchased a lemon and the moral of this story is that expensive doesn’t necessarily mean a superior product. I initially bought the $40 Keto meter off Amazon, and it worked well. But my mother kept talking to me about my weight and how much weight ive gained i know slightly embarrassing. So i thought the $40 keto meter was not working or giving me inaccurate readings. So i purchased this ketoscan meter for $150 the reviews all gave glowing recommendations and i thought okay well this would be accurate so i charged it up and i started using it and i noticed my readings were low like saying level 1 not in ketosis or in pre ketosis. So i said alright this is why i bought the device. I went on a strict keto diet coupled with exercising about 1 hour and burning roughly 500 calories. The meter would still give me this level 1 reading. So now im starting to think something must be wrong with my body why cant i get into ketosis. So i went back to my diet and maintaining a strict keto diet no sugary juices no carbs. And still this level 1 reading that i am not in ketosis or in a pre ketosis, and i know im supposed to be in a higher state of ketosis because i am essentially restricting a lot of what i eat. When i use my old $40 its reading me as in a 9.95 state of ketosis. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IT WILL GIVE YOU AN EATING DISORDER! ... show more
