I like the feel of the material, but these are way to small for my arms. I work on a construction site and need them for sun protection. These stretch so much to fit around my arms that I don’t think they offer the best sun block. I am overweight and my arms are not thin sticks but as you see in the photo my arms aren’t huge. When you pull them from the package they’re about 4 inches wide which is good if your arms are flat. I feel these are more for compression and warmth; not sun protection. Linen, cotton, chambray, & wool mixes are best for hot weather. These are synthetic material and I think would make it worse. I wear sweatbands under my safety hard hat to prevent sweat from dripping and stinging my eyes. These would prevent sweat from dripping, & yes if your outside in Las Vegas and there’s any humidity, every inch of your skin will get wet. ... show more

    • Not perfect but my arm says, "So what?"

First things first, I am not happy about the conflicting instructions. The bag that the sleeves are in say not to machine wash. The information I read on amazon says you can machine wash and hang to dry: "Stretch Fit and Washable: Our sleeves are incredibly durable and stretchy. Easy to machine wash and hang dry." The high ratings from more than 21,000 got me. Impressive but now what? I wouldn't have bought these if they were marked as "Handwash only" on Amazon. I have worn a single sleeve only 3 times. When I put it on or took it off, I rolled the wide end up or down as needed so I avoided stretching it at any part of the sleeve. I can't imagine any comfortable sleeve would work any better without doing so. But after wearing it twice, I noticed a long frayed string. If I ever buy from this company again, I will not likely be so forgiving, but, this time, I will over look the problems I mentioned. Yes, I gave them a 4 of 5 but it is the way the rating system works here. As they say, fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, shame on...well you know. I purchased these for my dad as he spends his days outdoor in his garden in the Spring and summer! He says it’s too hot to wear long sleeves but sometimes gets snagged on his rose bushes. I got these for him to protect him from sun as he’s not fond of wear any kind of sunblock and to help him with getting nicks and scrapes from his thorny plants! He says it very breathable and fits nicely despite being one size fits all. I’m glad I could’ve stayed him something to fit all of his needs! There are other cooling arm sleeves out there, but these, in my opinion, are the absolute best for me as a cyclist. They're light, and they fit perfectly on my skinny arms....and they stay put. They don't slide down my arms like other sleeves do. Something in the fabric they're using, real stretchy but snug fitting, and they do actually keep your arms cool during hot, sweaty days. I have three pairs, black, white, and gray. Just wish they'd make these in bright red, yellow, blue, navy blue, and hunter green (hint, hint). Awesome product though. I am a 185lb 5'10" woman and these were so tight my arms got all tingly riding my bike. Contacted seller and they gave full refund. I went with the Pearl iZUMI in a size large and they are perfect.     • Great sun protection but not the most breathable fabric

I golf at least twice a week during the summer in Georgia and Florida and I finally caved in and bought some sleeves because the sun was destroying my arms. These sleeves are very comfortable and since I’ve been wearing them my arms have not gotten sunburnt once. You can tell they really protect from UV rays because when you take them off your skin will not be hot to the touch. However, I’m only giving them 4 stars because they are pretty thick fabric, and when it’s very humid and they get wet with sweat they are not super breathable or cooling. However, they’re not totally unbearable and the sun protection is absolutely fantastic so I’ll keep wearing them ... show more

My third order. I have purpula on my arms and I use these anytime Im outside or out of the house. The bruising is unsightly and this hides it well. I find them very comfortable with a good fit. Also help protect my arms from small scrapes and scratches. Only complaint is I usually hand wash and air dry. First pair did not do well in the washer, maybe if used delicate it would. Instructions say do not use dryer, so I haven't tried. I will continue to buy ... show more

    • 16 days running the Grand Canyon and they worked better than expected.

16 days Rafting the Grand Canyon and they worked like a charm. Hey, it's in the Sonoran Desert and it did get above 110 degrees. I really loved wearing a lite quick drying short sleeve shirt with these to add the needed sun protection for my arms as opposed to wearing long sleeves. I used UPF 50 suntan lotion on the backs of my hands and periodically pulled these sleeves up to cover them. That was needed because the backs of the hands were exposed a lot while rowing the raft. Surprisingly, the backs of my hands were twice as exposed (and a bit sunburned) than my arms were. The difference I attribute to the 24x7 protection wet or dry that these sleeves provided; whereas the suntan lotion would wear off and need to be reapplied frequently. An added bonus was to just dip my arms into the water to get needed evaporative cooling. It was significant. Yeah, I was worried about how they would protect the arms when wet; but they did! My only complaint is that even the Large sleeves were a bit snug at the top around my biceps. But hey, most people wound not be wearing these for 16 long days straight. ... show more
