I really like the build quality (shell and feel) of this unit. Time will tell on longevity. I was able to use this as a data connection (USB Thumb Drive) and also to power my S23 Ultra (Super Fast Charging), at the same time, which was the goal. I don't use video passthrough with this device, so the fact that it's not capable was not a loss to me. Be mindful though, if you are looking for that function, you'll need to look elsewhere (or use multiple devices). I like the reporting function on the two powered ports; it's useful information to see at a glance. Just a nice touch, nothing earth shattering here (or shouldn't be). Given the build quality and that it fits my particular needs, definitely a good value for this hub! ... show more

    • Does exactly what it says it will.
I've had some issues in the past with my hubs "forgetting" external drives I have plugged into them -- meaning, they just vanish from accessibility -- so I have to unplug/replug to get it/them to show up again. Not this bad boy. I plugged in a week ago, and EVERYTHING is quite visible and useful. And there's no noticeable lag, so it really feels like I have them plugged in directly to the laptop.     • Limited functionality - uses up USB-C port
This hub doesn't have the functionality I would expect. It only works with the power adapter connected AND the USB-C plugged into the computer. First, if you just want to power/charge devices, you can't do it with the hub and power adapter alone. This seems like a major miss. Second, the USB-C ports on the hub, do not pass through power OR video. So, you are using one of your USB-C ports on the computer but can't get the same functionality through the hub. In my case, I have to use one for power. The other is used for a display. This means I can't use the hub at all. ... show more

I have a camper van powered by a Bluetti AC180 solar generator. The Bluetti is awesome but doesn't come close to having enough USB ports for my needs. I had been just kind of bandage-ing it with little, low-powered hubs, but I finally got fed up. This is absolutely perfect for me. It has fast ports to charge my ipad, chromebook, and phone, and older USB ports for my USB-hard wired legacy devices like my reading lights.
